Chapter 34

Gulf's POV

It was Sunday afternoon and I am here at our family house. My parents are busy flirting in the kitchen. They never get tired of each other.

It was already two days since I talked to Mew. I don't know why I am nervous in front of him and that sucks.

I don't know why but dad hates Cirrus so much. He always reminds me not to get close to Cir. He is a great guy though and I am sure of it. He admitted that he likes me but I know he is just being confused by protecting me and falling in love with me. I know he just badly wants to protect me because of the guilt that his dad failed to protect pops. Dad keeps telling me that if I choose to ignore the other guards I should ignore Cir too to avoid misunderstanding with the others. What can I do he is the only friend I have when I was in US. He went there with me. We were both drunk when we kissed in the club. He is the one who pulled out from the kiss after I called him Mew.

"Mansion or Kirigun's?" Mew texted.

"K." I was lazy to reply.

"Okay, then."

After an hour Joong and Benj entered with bags of foods from our favorite restaurant.

"What's that Benj?" Dada asked. His hand was wrapped around mama's waist. Okay, I am single and my parents are shoving the fact to my face.

"From Mew, boss." Dada glared at me.

"What? I don't know anything." I raised both of my arms.

"They are flirting with each other again for sure." Gab is annoying.
He grabbed the paper bags and opened them. "He knows what we like."

"If you want to eat, go. I won't eat that. Baby cooked for me. Right, baby?" Such a flirt at his age.

"Finish everything, babe." I really can't understand how he can eat that. Mama's cooking never improved or he just thinks dad likes the original taste so he just keeps on following his recipe. I am not being picky but I really can't eat it. The three of us are thankful that dad always saves us by finishing it all. That's pure love for us from our ever protective daddy.

Thea stood up. " I hate him but what can I do he sent foods and this should not be wasted."

"You can eat my pasta, baby." Mama offered to Thea.

"No, baby. That's only mine." It will sound sweet for mama but dada is just being protective of Thea.

I don't know if mama ever tasted what he cooks. We just let him because we see how he enjoys doing it. He may suck at dishes but mama's brownies are the best. Dad said that he enrolled him in baking school before. I don't get why he never enrolled mama in culinary school then.

I just took the picture of the foods and sent it to Mew. "Thanks."

"Did you like the food?"

"I am full."

"How about them?"

"Only Thea touched the food."

"Are they really mad at me?"

"Not sure. We never talked about you."

I met the woman I am always jealous of before my graduation. She told me how Mew only talks about me while working. How he is happy talking with everyone when the topic is our relationship. I know I misunderstood him at that time but I still didn't regret breaking up with him. We need to breathe and I need to understand that my world doesn't consist only of Mew. I need to focus on my goals too. Pops left me with so much responsibility since he left his employees with me. I need to study hard and be successful so I can take care of the servants and pops pride- his security team. I can't waste my time being jealous and being possessive and following him around.

I put pasta and a slice of thin-crust pizza on the plate. I know Cirrus is in the garden to avoid dada.

"Hey, eat." I handed him the plate.

"You still love him after all this time." He replied. He didn't even throw a glance at me. I placed it on the bench where he is sitting. "You'll just abandon me as soon as you go back to him."

"I already told you I am fine being single."

"You didn't deny it, you really still love him."

"I think you are crossing the line again, Cir. We are friends. You are not just my bodyguard."

"Fuck that friend. You are aware that what I am feeling for you is not just friendship."

"And I already told you that we can't. I don't want to lose a friend. I am not abandoning you."

"I only have my father and you to protect."

"Cir, I am not the one for you. I'll ask to swap guard if you continue this."

I left him there. I can't lose him too. Cirrus is too good and I want him as a friend.

"Go to the study. Dada is waiting." Fuck. Thea is like warning me.

I nervously went to the study room. My dad is sitting there.

"Tell me what's happening Gulf."

"What about dad?"

"You know what I am talking about. I told you that you can't be with that guard but it doesn't mean that I allow you to go back with the bastard."

"Dad, I am not. He just happened to send food. I didn't ask him to do that."

"I know you still love him and I won't allow you to get hurt by the same man for the second time. I promise I will send him to where Joss is now if you continue this... To hell."

I just nodded.

I am not even doing anything yet.

"Go."

They know that Mew didn't cheat on me. Still, dad doesn't like it that I was being taken for granted. Being busy at work is not a reason to ignore my feelings. Dad wants me to be the priority because he told me that I don't deserve anything less. Actually, Gab and Thea are not that mad. They even gave me advice on how to fix it but after dad declared his wrath against Mew no one dares to talk about him anymore.

Dad is really scary when talking about serious matters.

I still love him but I think it is impossible now.
