Context: This is for my best friend who I know is reading; You may think that I was incapable of writing a soppy romance but when an opportunity to write about Bughead comes up, I wont say no.
When I awoke at the crack of dawn, dread dominated my insides; I had a Saturday detention. My mum- of course- had gone nuts, she had blamed Veronica of course ("She's a bad example," was one of the many things she had shouted at me on Friday evening). Though I would never admit it to my mom, she was right. Veronica had persuaded me to skip class with her so she could have moral support while skipping class to meet Archie Andrews (the boy next door). Principle Weatherby found out and issued us with a weekend detention.
I dressed and headed out the door, where Veronica was waiting for me,
"You look nervous B," she said.
Indeed, she was slightly shaky," Don't worry, weekend detention is a breeze
As long as your not over loud, you can talk all you want,"
Easy for her to say. She was the rich girl, the class skipper. Whereas I was a- some might say- goody-two-shoes.
Holy crap! As we entered the liabry, Princible Weatherby himself was sat at the front desk. This made me like I was going to be sick, right there, on the floor. The only two seats were one next to Arxhie and one next to a boy wearing a beanie. I knew who I was sitting next to.
