chapeter one

        It was a rainy day in London and I had just been kicked out of my house. I had nowhere to go and no one to help me. I’m scared and homeless with no family. I don’t even know who my dad is. He hasn’t been around since I was little. As I walked around the city aimlessly with my head down listening to the sweet sounds of Ed Sheeran I bumped into someone. I immediately became frozen on the spot. I’m so sorry I wasn’t looking I quickly apologized to the stranger. It’s alright love the voice said which I recognized as a man’s voice. His voice was soothing but I stayed stiff. I didn’t really know what to do so I looked up and met the most amazing blue/green eyes I had ever seen he also had light brown hair with a fringe that fell right above his right eye. He had on a black leather jacket and under that he had a white tee shirt on and black jeans with black and white converses and aviator sunglasses. He was really attractive but I just wanted to hide from everyone I just wanted to start walking away and find somewhere to sleep as it was already getting late.  Are you alright he asked as I realized I had been staring at him for far too long with a scared expression on my face. I’m alright I replied although I really wasn’t. He didn’t look convinced so I just started walking again. Hey wait up he said. I turned around and looked at him. Would you like to get a cup of tea with me to make up for almost knocking you to the ground he asked? In reply I nodded my head. My names Nathan he said. Well it’s nice to meet you Nathan I said with a small genuine smile on my face. What’s your name he asked me? I froze and looked at him to afraid to answer. I’m not going to hurt you he said. I must have had a scared look and he must have been reassuring me that he wasn’t going to harm me. That’s when I told him that my name is Kelsey. If you don’t mind my asking why are you walking in the rain by yourself he asked? That’s when my smile fell and I frowned a bit and looked away ashamed that I had just been kicked out of my home. What’s the matter Kelsey he asked? I was nervous about telling a complete stranger why I was out here so I asked him if I could tell him after the tea. Yeah that’s ok Kelsey if you want to tell me you can I won’t push you to tell me he said with a goofy grin on his face and I chuckled and that mid his grin get bigger. A few minutes later we walked into Starbucks and order our drinks and set in a booth till they were ready. We made small talk until our order was called. We set in silence for a few minutes while drinking our teas and once we were finished we threw our cups away and walked out. So are you going to explain why you were walking in the rain he asked? That’s when I shyly told him that I was kicked out by my drunken mum and that I’m frightened and nowhere to go so I was just aimlessly walking listening to my iPod till I bumped into you. I’m so sorry your mum did that would you like to stay with me and my friends until you get back on your feet Nathan asked me with a shy smile on his face.

             I looked at him shocked but then nodded. I would love to stay with you guys but only until I can get on my feet and find a job I replied smiling back as he lead the way to his house.                                                          His house was huge he had 6 bed rooms and a half baths all the rooms had their own bathroom and walk-in closet and a huge bed in the center of the room. As I was introduced to each boy who was in their own rooms Nathan led me to the spare room which was as big as all the others. It was painted black with red stripes the bed was queen sized and the bedding was black with white polka dots the carpet was black as well with dark curtains that kept the sun from shining in the room. I was in awe because it looked just like my room at home but my walls where black with pink stripes. I turned around and gave Na than a big hug and thanked him. I didn’t have any clothes so Nathan offered to take me shopping for a few things which I was greatly appreciative of. He has been so nice to me and I am truly shocked by it because I’m a total stranger and here he was taking my in and buying me clothes I don’t know what I did to deserve this but I’m grateful. My curiosity got the best of me though and I asked him why he was doing this. His reply was the nicest thing anyone has said to me. He had said that he didn’t want to see such a beautiful and sweet girl living on the streets and that if anything would have happened to him that he would want someone to help him out and once he said that I had a smile on my face for the rest of our shopping trip. Would you like a tour of the house once we get back Nathan asked? Sure I replied your house is so big I’m afraid that I’ll get lost I laughed.

              Once we got back he showed me his room first it was black with green stripes his bed was a queen also with green bedding with black pillows and white carpet with green curtains. The next room he showed me was Max’s room which was black and orange with a queen sized bed with black bedding and white pillows his carpet was dark blue with light orange curtains. The next room he showed me was Tom’s room which was blue and green with a queen sized bed with blue bedding and pillows with green carpeting and blue curtains. The fourth room he showed me was Siva’s room which was blue and red with a queen sized bed with blood red bedding with dark red carpeting and light blue curtains. And the last room he showed me was Jay’s room which was green and orange with a queen sized bed with black and white bedding with navy blue carpeting and white curtains. It looked like they had a theme when they had painted the rooms and it made me chuckle a bit. As I let the chuckle out Nathan gave me a weird look and that only made me laugh harder but once I calmed down I explained that it looked like they had a theme when it came to each room and he chuckled as well. That night we all set down and had dinner and that’s when I realized who they were. And I had to be stupid and blurt out that they were the wanted and they all just started laughing at me. What I asked them once they calmed down and Max replied and said it was about time that I figured it out and then I started laughing and they joined in and about five minutes later we all calmed down and decided to play a game. Jay shouted truth or dare and everyone agreed so we all sat in a circle and started the game. Let the games begin.

           We started playing truth or dare and so far it was pretty amusing to watch but when it was Nathan’s turn he turned and looked at me with and asked those three dreaded words I didn’t want to hear yet. Kelsey truth or dare Nathan asked? I thought about my options if I say truth than he could ask me anything and if I said dare I would have to do something I didn’t want to do.  Truth I said with a small smile on my face. Why are you so shy? Nathan asked me while everyone else nodded in agreement. I looked at each boy then looked back to Nathan and replied. I’m shy because I can’t tell if you’re going to me or not I answered honestly. I heard all of them gasp and quickly looked up to see five very shocked boys so I looked back down at my hands that where playing with my shoe laces. Why do you think we would hurt you Max asked me? Well you see my mom had this boyfriend and he wasn’t really nice. When my mom was drunk he’d come downstairs and see me watching the television and he would get mad at me and start beating me I replied. Oh my goodness are you ok Kelsey tom asked me? I nodded my head and whispered that I will be ok as the game went on I got even more tired and decided to go to bed.

         Good night boys and thank you Nathan I whispered as I gave them all a hug I went upstairs and once my head hit the pillow I feel into a deep sleep. But it wasn’t that peaceful my dreams were filled with nightmares and flashbacks of what he would do to me. I woke up crying and gasping for breath at 4:38 in the morning. I decided I would go downstairs and get a glass of water. As I walked into the kitchen I was surprised to see Nathan sitting there with a cup of tea in his hands. He looked up at me when he heard me enter. Couldn’t sleep he asked me? Nightmare actually I replied with a shrug. I just came to get a glass of water than I’m going back to bed I said. I saw Nathan nod for the corner of my eye as I filled up a glass with water. Can I ask you something Kelsey Nathan asked? I nodded having no idea what he wanted to ask me. What he said next had defiantly surprised me. Will you like to go on a date with me Nathan asked? I just stood there for a moment not knowing what to say. But I nodded with a small smile playing at my lips. When he say my nod he got up and gave me a big hug and told me that it would be at 7 that night and I just nodded again until I remember that I had nothing to wear. Hey Nathan would you mind taking to my mum’s place so I can get my things packed no one will be there all day. He smiled and nodded. I went back upstairs smiling just thinking about what just happened down stairs. This is the best day of my life I thought as I feel back asleep with a smile on my face and thoughts about Nathan floating around.
