AIDAN

"What's that?"

JADE

"That's what a planet looks like from space. Any planet or timezone that hasn't been touched by advanced technology gets a Freed base in space near the planet which shuttles visitors in, as to not disturb the natural habitat too much."

This was Aidan's first time seeing a planet this way. Jade left him there staring at the planet in awe, stepping into the next room where they would travel to Xarboses' surface.

JADE

"This is the central room. The door over there leads to the exit room,"

- She points toward a door on the same wall they entered from.

"That's how we will get to the planets surface, some Freed machines shoot you down to the ground in an organic ship-cell, some teleport or beam you down. That's a beamer."

-She pointed toward a platform raised slightly off of the ground with series of buttons on top.

"This machine can also be used to page Freed for any help."

Jade paused for a minute to let it sink in. Aidan's eyes scanned the room one more time then he nodded.

JADE

"Alright, enough of that. Lets go."

As Jade passed the control box approaching the platform she slammed her hand down on one of the buttons and the machine buzzed to life, slowly beginning to glow. Aidan joined Jade on the platform and watched closely, hoping to catch how the machine teleported them. Light was building up above and below him, it was a strange form of energy or light he had never seen before. It began shooting down, the light was traveling right through his body, gathering in his cells. The light particles were attaching themselves to the particles in Aidan's body, slowly grabbing hold of every atom that made him. Once every molecule was bonded he couldn't feel anything nor move.  The light was beamed onto a specific location on Xarboses' surface from the base of the satellite and their atoms were taken with the light. The next thing Aidan realized he was on the surface of Xarbose.

Xarbose was the exact opposite of Ries, where Aidan was from. There was life everywhere, so many different sounds he couldn't identify them all. The air was moist and the dominant color was green. They seemed to be beamed to a location where there used to be buildings, but now the two stood in the middle of an abandoned neighborhood. The buildings were made of stone and no longer erect, only the base of each wall remained.

AIDAN

"Any idea how we are supposed to find anything here?"

JADE

"Well, I assumed since there seemed to be activity on this planet that it would be slightly more developed. Maybe we just got beamed to one of the worst locations? I can make us a shelter if needed."

AIDAN

"Almost everything here appears to be edible."
