The Mission (teen titans fanfic)

The Explanation

"That was a person I knew from a long time ago they honestly aren't that important" I tried my best to brush it off but knowing beast boy he wasn't going to let it go that easy

"Raven who was that?" His voice getting surprisingly low. I was nervous to tell him and I didn't want to flashback to HIM.

"Beast boy can we please do this another day. I honestly don't want to get into this right now" I looked at him desperately hoping he would let it go but to no avail

"Raven I want to know who that was right now" he looked at me very seriously. I sighed in defeat

"Alright fine but if I'm going to tell you can we at least go back to your room" he looked at me for a moment and nodded. I started towards the room and he followed. We got into the room and I sat down. I patted the spot on the bed next to me and he sat down.

"Gar what I'm about to tell you I have told no one. Not even my mother knows" I took a deep breath and looked into beast boys eyes

"Ok it all started when I was 13 before I was forced to leave Azarath. There was this guy I got to know and I really liked him and the thing was he wasn't scared of me like everyone else, but that was because I didn't know what he was" I dropped my head and looked towards the floor

"HE came to earth plenty of times to see me. I never let HIM come here until a couple of weeks after the team got together. I made sure HE was never seen. But one day HE came to see me. I was happy I actually thought I loved him and we had kissed before, but this time" I let a few tears fall

"This time was different when he kissed me I felt like I was on fire like my entire body was engulfed in flames and when I tried to pull away" I sniffles but continued "he wouldn't let me. I used my powers to separate us and when I finally looked at him I saw HIM for what he really was. His eyes were red and he had red markings all over his body. HE was one of my fathers followers" my tears started to come out like a waterfall

"I though he liked me for me, but he was only with me because of my father. I was so infuriated I sent him back down to hell where he belonged, but I knew I would never truly be rid of him. He showed up again before my 16th birthday to try to get me to help him with something but I wasn't about to help out that asshole, but when I didn't help he threatened to take someone from me and I wasn't about to let that happen" I was balling by this point and beast boy pulled me in close to him

"Gar please believe me when I say I know what I'm doing and don't try to interfere. I could never in a million years forgive myself if something happened to you" I looked up at him and he looked into my eyes

"Raven I trust you and I always have but I can't just stand by and let someone threaten you and use you. I love you and if he shows up again then I will be there" I hugged him so tightly and I never wanted to let go. Beast boy then laid down and pulled me up to him. Then he pulled the blankets over us. He held me closely and gave me a kiss on the head.

"It's gonna be alright rae I'm here" I smiled slightly and whispered to myself "Oh if only that were true" I let one more stray tear fall before listening to beast boy steady heart beat and drifting off to sleep.

Next Morning

Beast boys pov

I woke up this morning and looked down at Raven laying in my arms. She is absolutely the most beautiful and most important thing in my life. I can't believe how much I love her. I feel like if I lost her I wouldn't know how to keep going on. I leaned down and gave her a kiss on the head. A few minutes after I kissed her, her eyes fluttered open.

She lifted her head up to look at me. I looked in her beautiful amethyst eyes and smiled. She smiled back "hey beautiful"

"Hey gar" I gave her a quick kiss "How did you sleep?" I asked honestly concerned considering what happened yesterday. "I slept like a baby because I was in your arms" she smiled brightly at me and I smiled back
