Adam's POV, 6:39 am
After a night of laying out things to my liking, I had passed out on the bed dead tired. Chifuyu had told me that I will have a room all to myself, so I made sure that it stayed that way by upgrading the door and locks (I think you know why). Thus, I felt safe enough to sleep without my mask and contact lenses.
The lenses are to cover up that I am the son of Julia L/n, a world renown IS scientist. The mask was to do the same job, but cover up the skin missing along my mouth. This was due to an 'unfortunate' accident with my mother that made her separate from me.
Bitch.
Currently, I start to stir, seeing the edges of my vision clouded in darkness. I blink my eyes a few times, getting used to this dark room, then get up and sit on the edge of the bed. I grab my phone and check the time after turning the brightness down.
"Alright, so it's 6:39, guess I better go jog- wait. Where's my mask?" I say to myself, then looks at my dresser and see it sitting there
"There you are! *puts it on* Now, where's my lenses?" I ask to no one
I look in the bathroom and see them on the counter and put them on. I glance at the phone and notice the time is 6:42, so I put on some black sweatpants and a hoodie on, along with my Neki shoes.
"Well, let's get going." I say to myself as I grab my phone and keys, then put my headphones in
I despise having wireless earbuds, as they can fall out and get lost easily. I don't like the big, U shaped ones that go over your head either, as they are cumbersome to use. I prefer wired earbuds, as they can be hidden easily from view and are excellent deterrents for women to talk to me.
"But you need to start interacting with them Adam. You're gonna be here for 4 years." Faye says to me, and I shake my head
'Sorry Faye, but women are bitches. They've treated me like garbage over the years and I'm not having it anymore.' I speak mentally to her as I jog across campus
'What about Chifuyu or Maya?' She asks 'They are trying to communicate and help you Adam, despite the formers first impression.' She says, making me slow down on my 20 kilometer run
'I'm not too sure yet Faye, but we'll see when the time comes. Class begins today and I'm going to be the center of attention. I'd rather get my point across now rather then later.' I tell her, to which she sighs
'Just be careful what you say Adam, okay? I don't want to see you hated by everyone that could help you.' She says, concern in her voice
'I'll be okay, Faye, I promise. I won't do anything reckless to jeopardize us.' I comfort her
'I'm gonna surf through the school's system for a bit. Call me when you need me love.' She said, teasing me
'I will Faye, love you too.' I said, hearing her giggle then leave my brain
Third person POV
After another hour and a half, Adam decided it would be best to get back and get ready. He jogged back to his room, and before he got close, Maya saw him in the hallway and decided to say hello.
"Good morning Mr. Riker! How are you feeling?" She joyously asks, smiling brightly
Adam frowned, but begins to smile when he notices she's being genuine.
