I still remember the first day we met, Something that I can never forget,
You extended your hand and asked "Friends?"
And I agreed without any regret.
We became friends,
It was inevitable,
We cared for each other,
And we were Inseparable.
We played pranks,
Our pair was divine,
We held hands,
During tough times.
But at the end of the day,
Someone had to fall,
And it was you,
Who broke my wall.
I fell for you so hard,
That it was painful,
You were the one in my heart,
And that made the pain blissful.
But I knew it wasn't going to work,
That you will not stay,
After knowing the truth,
You'll walk away.
I tried to talk to myself,
That we weren't meant to be,
But whenever I was around you,
I always had that glee.
So I decided,
To leave the warmth,
That you provided.
I decided to leave you alone,
To leave my only home.
You tried to stop me,
But I wasn't going to,
You tried to talk to me,
But I wasn't letting you.
I walked away before you could,
Because I knew this wasn't good,
I walked away with my heart full of pain,
And you thought I wasn't sane.
It hurt like hell,
Leaving you,
And bidding you farewell,
I knew you were hurt too,
But I couldn't help.
As time passed away,
My affection only grew,
You were moving on,
And that I knew.
And just like that,
My favourite person,
Became my favourite memory.
