~New York City~
Valentino or Chanel? This was a tricky decision to make, a critical decision! Make a mistake now and I'm toast. So it was either the long, red, fitted Valentino Sweetheart or the skater style, black Chanel with a white ribbon around the middle. I decided to text Serena to see what she was wearing because you can't go wrong if she approves! A simple "what are you wearing tonight" should do the trick... Right? I'll go with that, it seems to be okay! She texted back almost instantly, saying that she was wearing a short golden 1920s style dress with golden heeled sandals. Looks like I'm wearing the Chanel dress! With... My black heels and my hair down. That should work out just fine! I put on a few bracelets because you can never go wrong with them and looked at the clock on the wall. Time for me to go down and see Serena and Dan! With a final look in the mirror, I stepped out of my room, grabbing my handbag on the way. Hopefully things will work out okay!
Serena was sat downstairs in the reception with Dan. At least she hadn't forgotten me! I must say that she looked stunning; the gold really brought out the best in her. Even Dan seemed to have scrubbed up well compared to how he normally looks. As soon as she saw me Serena ran over and hugged me.
"Oh my god, you look so nice! The dress and shoes are adorable... You're just so cute! Doesn't she look cute Dan?" Serena was so lovely, I can see why Dan was with her. She has the kind of personality that is impossible to dislike!
"She looks lovely. But not as lovely as you..." Dan shyly looked up at Serena and smiled. To say she looked happy would have been a massive understatement. Her eyes lit up completely and a massive smile spread across her face. They were the official stereotype of a cute couple!
"He's right Serena, you look stunning!" I decided to make her know that she was actually stunning and that he wasn't just telling her because he loved her. It was true anyway- she looks literally a million dollars!
"Thank you so much! Well, we best be off. I hate to keep B waiting!" A slight laugh escaped her lips at the last comment which surprised me. Weren't they best friends? I let it slip as another question crossed my mind.
"What is Bs actual name? She doesn't like me calling her B but I don't know her name so... I can't really do much else, can I?" Serena found my question hilarious for some reason. I began to feel really self conscious. Had I said something wrong?
"Her name is Blair, Blair Waldorf and she is a bit of a diva at times. Where did you learn the B part anyway? She doesn't tell people to call her that unless she has known them for a while?" Her eyebrows furrowed with her question.
"She doesn't even let me call her B at the moment!" Dan exclaimed, a hurt look on his face. I giggled slightly at his expression but covered my mouth. He didn't seem to find it funny.
"She does like you Dan, even if she doesn't let on to it! I've called a cab anyway, it'll be here soon. We are heading out to a bar that we all go to. Have you met Nate yet? He's with Blair but things are a bit rocky at times..." She looked really guilty for a split second but replaced the look with a smile, grabbing mine and Dan's hands. "Anyway, come on! We'll be really late and Blair will kill me!"
The bar was nice, nothing out of the ordinary but nice. I'd seen better in London but it was great there. Bars in London out class any bars! Anyway, the bar was nice with black leather stools and a white counter being the main focus. A few black and white tables were dotted around the room with people occupying most of them. Serena directed me over to a table with two guys sat at it. One of them seemed strangely familiar. Chuck Bass. I knew he was in with this group but hadn't expected him to be here right now! He recognised me too. I could see it in his eyes when he looked at me that he knew who I was. A sly smirk creeped onto his face as h scanned over my body. I felt physically sick at the thought of him staring at my body.
"These are Chuck and Nate, I've told you about them, and this is Eleanor- she's from London. If I'm right she's younger than us but she's cool. Dan showed her round at school and he likes her!" Serena spoke about me as if I wasn't there, which made me smile. I gave a slight wave at the Nate guy and just blanked Chuck. He's too arrogant for my liking.
"Pleasure to meet you, Nate Archibald, me and Serena have been close for a long time so a friend of hers is a friend of mine! How are you liking New York? It can be a bit hard on newcomers!" Nate smiled and instantly I knew that I could trust him. He has the kind of face that has innocence and friendship written all over it!
"It has been good to me so far- I couldn't have wished for a better welcome! I'm here for a while so hopefully New York will get used to me being here!" I smiled at him, hoping that he would like me. That was when she arrived, dressed in a tight blue dress with a golden necklace round her neck. Soft, dark brown curls surrounded her pretty face but she didn't look too happy.
"I didn't know that you would actually come. Did no one tell you that black is so negative and last year? Colours are the new black honey- you are just... Ew. And who do you think you are to flirt with my boyfriend? That is not cool. Ask Serena, it doesn't end well." Blair had arrived and I was where her gun was aimed. She looked at me like I was dog crap on her designer heels and made me feel small. I wasn't even flirting with her boyfriend! He is the one who started the conversation. It took a few minutes for me to process the comment about Serena... She looked guilty again. Had she... That wouldn't have been cool. They are best friends and I know for certain that you do not date your best friends boyfriend under any circumstances! One thing that I knew for certain was the Blair Waldorf didn't like me, and I was going to have to work really hard to change her opinion of me. That can't be too hard... Right?
