~New York City~

Monday passed by slowly, not much happened. Then Tuesday came. And Tuesday came with new things to do. The main thing was, well, school. Oh, how I had missed it since being here. Not like I was fine without it or anything. Well I don't have a choice whether to go or not so I'm stuffed. School sucks. I put on my uniform, it is quite cute but not really schoolish... Minimal make up and some heels finished the look that I was going for. I grabbed my books, bag and purse and left my room.

As I got into the lift, I noticed I wasn't alone. A pretty blonde with the same uniform. I smiled at her, and she smiled back but didn't say anything. Maybe she was shy? I looked at her again and had a lightbulb moment. This was the legendary 'S' that caused so much trouble on Gossip Girl! She was prettier upfront than in the images of her, but the images are when she isn't expecting them to be taken.

"Hi, I'm Eleanor." I finally broke the silence, introducing myself. She looked up but didn't reply for a minute. It was as if she was judging whether to trust me or not. I smiled, hoping that might help.

"Hi, I'm Serena..." She finally replied. For some reason she seemed nervous to talk to me about anything. The lift reached the ground floor and the doors opened. I walked out and hailed a taxi to take me to school. Today, I'm gonna try to make some friends, I need to have some to enjoy the Upper East Side highlife properly!

The school looked fairly posh, with grand stone work. Maybe it won't be too bad after all. I made my way to the principles office to get my timetable and locker number. She was planning on getting me a guide, to show me around school. He's apparently 'top of the class' so can miss a few lessons to show me around. Maybe he'll be alright... Can't be worse than that Chuck Bass guy!

"I have assigned Daniel Humphrey to be your guide. He is second to top in his class and is predicted to pass with flying colours into Dartmouth. It may be that you have different timetables, he is slightly older, but generally you are similar. I hope not to see you again soon for any bad behaviour! Any questions, queries?" The principle explained the situation in detail and asked the questions carefully.

"Would it be possible to see older students around school?" I was cautious of the question I asked... For some reason I get along with them better but generally end up in trouble. I speak from firsthand experience.

"Well of course, Miss Taylor, that's what happens in high school. Mr Humphrey will be here soon, you may wait outside." She thought my question was rubbish. It's not hard to tell she has low expectations of me. Nodding, I follow the orders and sit outside. About 5 minutes later a boy arrives. He is tallish with dark hair, his smile is warm and friendly.

"Hey, I'm Daniel, your guide for the next few days. I promise to show you about and make sure you're not alone! You ready to go?" I like him, he's the friendliest person I've met since being here. His calm and collected aura is positive. We are going to get along!

"Hello Daniel, can I call you Dan? Well anyway, I'm Eleanor and I'm from London, England. You will have heard of it!" I smirked after I spoke then laughed, he was a cool guy! "Thanks for agreeing to show me around though, it's mighty decent of you." He cracked a smile and motioned for me to follow him down the corridor.

"We will start, with the canteen." This made me laugh, it's the most important room in the building! I'm beginning to like this Dan Humphrey, he's normal.
