"Today was okay I guess." Bakugou chuckled holding you in his arms, as you both laid in his bed.

The moon was high, peaking through the curtains.

"I guess?"

"I'm just joking." he laughed at your response. "It was better than okay. It was perfect. You are-"

"Perfect? Yeah, you can thank my creator." you huffed.

"No dumbass, you, not what you look like."

You were slightly shocked by his kindness, you had noticed him changing everyday, his harsh personality being slowly altered. He was happier these days, he finally learned how to love.

You only wanted the best for him, you wish you could give him everything, after all, he gave you everything you could ever ask for. However, Katsuki felt the same, he was so grateful for you, and now that time is running out, he hasn't been able to appreciate you properly.

"Thank you, Katsuki." you said, feeling yourself become weaker.

"For what?"

"Everything."

You both laid there silently for a couple moments, admiring each other, little did he know, the pain inside you was growing more than ever.

You reached out to place your lips on his, he returned the kiss gently, his warm lips against yours.

He deserved so much more than what you were able to give, he deserved a real person who wouldn't leave him. You felt yourself smile into the kiss imagining growing old with him, not that you would able to.

"I love you." you breathed as both your lips parted.

"I love you too."

You felt your vision begin to blur as your eyes closed, but this time it wasn't white, it was dark. You wanted to speak, tell Katsuki goodbye, but your body failed, wires tightening more and more as they began to snap inside you.

"Don't you dare forget about our promise." he huffed, still unaware that you weren't simply just falling asleep - you were dying.

You tried your best to speak, or to at least nod. But nothing was working, any wires that allowed you to move either snapped or burned by now.

His eyebrows furrowed, "Okay?" he grew impatient as you didn't reply. "Falling asleep on me that fast?" he shook you gently.

His playful impatient manner quickly darkened as his concern grew.

"Y/n?" he sat up and shook you, holding you tightly.

A final breath escaped your lips.

"Wake up... Y/n?" he was beginning to panic.

He watched you as the tears began to slip from his eyes. You were gone. All he had left of you now was your artificial body, just a bunch of broken wires and burnt metal. Any sign of hope or life had left you.

"No! No, no." he cried as he grabbed the charger and strapped it into your ankle, hands shaking. But it wouldn't work. He knew why, he knew exactly what was happening. Still, his denial overtook him as he frantically tried to get it to work.

"This isn't funny Y/n! Wake up!" He said with wide eyes, his red pupils thinning.

"Work! Come on." after another few tries, he felt his body give up. He was defeated.

"Please, give her back." His voice cracked.

Once again, he was alone. But then again, was he not alone this whole time? Each day, laughing, smiling, arguing, slowly falling in love with something that was never really there. It wasn't his to keep, because it was never really alive. Realisation hit him, this whole time, he's been by himself.

She was never alive.

He watched the night sky alone, just like how its always been. Alone.

Would it have been better if you never met? It all started with that gift, maybe if he could go back to the beginning he would do it differently. He would stop himself from falling in love with something that he couldn't ever truly have.

But then again, the time he was with you, he was happy. Truly happy. He wouldn't trade the moments you shared for anything in the world.

Your death was inevitable, there is no such thing as a human inside a robot's body - yet that was what you became. And even though it gave you life, it came with the cost of death.

Bakugou had to learn to accept the truth, that it was impossible for you to stay alive. Your feelings were simply a malfunction, only that. But that malfunction changed everything.

"Please.." he cried through gritted teeth, holding you close to him, "come back."

He observed you, seeing your lifeless body rest against him, a small white glow in your hand began to show. Your hand began to open and small white device that looked like a USB stick began to appear. The glow began to fade away as he took it your hand.

He looked back at you, sniffing lightly as his eyebrows furrowed.
