The Hybrid's Mate (Discontinued)

Chapter Four

Skylar

I woke up but my body felt numb and my neck and head were both throbbing. I slowly openness my eyes to adjust to the brightness of the room.

I quickly closed it but then I noticed something, first of all my bed was wasn't this soft or comfortable. I took a good look around the room.

From the last thing I remember I was in the woods in search of blood that i unfortunately never got. So how did I end up here in this room.

All of a sudden the door nob twisted and two boys came into the room. The brown headed one smiled at me and smiled.

" Hello skylar. My name's Xaiver while this is Sidney." He said as he pointed to his dark haired friend. "How are you feeling?"

I smiled back as I answered " I feel a little numb. Thanks. Where am i?"

The guy named Sidney answered
" We are Connor's friends and you were attacked in the forest. Fortunately Connor was there to save you and bring you here."

On hearing that my mate was the one who saved me my heart fluttered and I smiled internally.
I was really looking forward to seeing him again. Only the mention of his name had me yearning for him.

As if he knew I was talking about him he stepped into the room and walked towards me leaning towards the bed and checking me to see if I was well.

While he was doing so Sidney and Xaiver left while he  smirked.

All of a sudden I felt strong muscular arms wrap around me in the form of a hug. I hugged him back and he out his face in the crook of my neck before whispering 'mate'.

Oh so he knew that I was his mate. I think this is the right time to have this conversation.

"Love, how are you feeling?" He said with such tenderness in his voice.

"I'll live. I don't think you can get rid of me so easily."I said with a smile. I've waited for my mate for years now, when everyone around me had theirs I felt like a third wheel,even my own parents said that no one deserves a person like me." So we're mates huh?"

" It seems so."

"But I don't understand why anyone would want to attack me in the first place."

"I think I do but right now I need to get you some food and blood. Lay down while I get it. It'll only be a minute."

And true to his words a minute later he showed up with a tray of food. I was curious of how he had gotten to the kitchen in such a short amount of time or maybe one of his friends gave it to him on the way there. Anyways it doesn't matter, all that matters now is feeding and getting my health back then going back to work.
