I faked a giggle as I cleared my throat, holding Lou's arm, who was looking so embarrassed at Pierre. "Pierre, this is Louis, my fiance." I introduced.
"Hello Doctor Pierre, Ama has been talking a lot about you all the time." He fidgets with a smile, looking shyly at the angry Pierre.
"She said that you're an expert in the real estate business and so on. Hey! Is this true?" Pierre looks so indifferent to Lou with a string of anger to his cute face.
I looked at Lou awkwardly, and he looked at me the same.
"Ama, come with me!" He commands as he stands up. "Excuse us," he adds in range.
I watched him from his back as I followed him like a lost puppy craving for a new master. We walked past the old library room to his office. He stops and turns around, making me halt on his broad chest. With embarrassment, I take a step back.
"So, you're getting married to that guy? The rugged one downstairs?" He questions. Even though he tried to hide his irritation, I could still feel it from his French-like tone.
"Yes!" I nod.
"Ama, what the hell are you thinking?" He raised his voice slightly in annoyance. "Can't you find a better man? Why choose someone like that?"
"Lou is a nice guy, Pierre," I support my motion with a sad face.
"Nice? Did you say NICE? Never address a man like that as NICE!" He barks in annoyance. "Tell me, Tell me, prove to me with reasons that made him nice!"
I want to laugh, but I think I might upset him more. He looks mad! Oh gosh, but why am I so happy?
"He..." I paused, looking at my feet. I need to spice this shit up a little. "He...I can see that... He has been a gentleman to me ever since we dated." I twitch my nose to hold my blushes.
He roars. "Then you don't need to get married now. You've just graduated from the university!"
I whistle slowly before speaking, taming my words so as not to make him explode in anger. "Before I graduated, many of my coursemates got married even before graduation."
"Ama...!" He mutters between gritted teeth.
I flinched in shock.
"Don't you dare treat marriage as a child's play! You're not a kid anymore, don't act like that, okay?" He taught at me.
"I am not. Lou and I are madly in love with one another." I sadly say.
"Wow!" He looks unlikely like himself. "I don't agree..." He barks, slamming his fist to the wall. "If you want to get married, you should have your career and wait till he's able to support a family!"
"Pierre..." I stammered. With my back still glued to the cold wall, looking at him with sparkling eyes and blushed cheeks. "Do you... forbid me to marry others?"
"No..." He withdrew his body back in embarrassment. "No, you're overthinking... I...I just..."
Stop lying to yourself! You won't allow me to marry someone else! I look deep into his shy grey eyes
I took a step forward and grabbed his shirt, holding his neck for support. He looks at me in shock. "Pierre! You love me!"
His eyes widened in shock. He removes my arm from his neck and turns away. "It's just that I can't give you to a loser like that!"
I ran to his front, stopping him. "You're lying, and you're lying, Pierre, you're jealous! You think that he's a loser. Only because you're in love with me." I tried to hold his cheek with my sad eyes looking deep at him.
"Ama..." He yelled, holding my arms in the air before I could even grab his cheeks. "Will you stop being so stubborn? I treat you as my junior. I hate that you treat your marriage as a child's plaything!" He yells.
"No, it's not true..." Tears find their way out of my big brown eyes. "I know you feel the same too!"
He exhaled. "I've only treated you as one of my juniors, Ama! And not as a woman, I can never see you as a woman."
"Not as a woman?" This statement destroyed my whole life as of now. How can someone be so mean and heartless? How can someone be as plain as a board paper?
I felt tears roll out from my eyes. I couldn't take this anymore, and I can't be two inches closer to him right now. I can't do this anymore.
I covered my face with my palm. Then run off like a shot.
"Ama..." He calls, but I don't look back at him, not even for a second.
I immediately ran to the sitting room where we left Lou and Uncle. With face down, I grabbed Lou's arm as he stood up in shock. "What is it, Ama?"
I sniff. " Excuse me, Uncle, it's about time that we go back to the hotel ." I tried to hide the tears that were rolling down my cheek like a waterfall.
"But dear, your auntie is cooking your favorite dish. Ain't you staying overnight after a long time?" Uncle sounds sad to me.
I was feeling too embarrassed even to spend a second in the Fitz Mansion.
" No, thank you, uncle, I was seriously not too hungry, and also I need to take my medications because of my dog allergies." Still standing, I rested my head on Lou's shoulders. I immediately saw Pierre coming downstairs.
Lou smirks as he embraces me tighter to his side. "What the matter, mon chéri ?"
"Nothing, I am a bit tired! I want to go back and rest," I played along.
"Uncle, Dr. Pierre, I will take Ama back to take her medications, and we'll come to visit tomorrow,"
Pierre growls. "Ama, I see you're doing well fighting your allergies. I will give you other drugs, and you should stay home." He frowns as his angry eyes meet Lou's own.
"Since she's not feeling well, I'll take her back to rest." Lou sounds sad looking at Ama.
"I am a Doctor, and she's not feeling well. I will take good care of her. If she goes back with you, can you take care of her than a doctor?" Pierre's eyes were in red flames.
"Let's stay and have dinner, then we'll decide later." I inhale. "Excuse me, gentlemen, I need to use the bathroom." I zoom past them.
Pierre, what exactly do you want from me?
