The fresh breeze blows against your cheeks as you watch your friends chat in the distance. Truthfully they aren't as far away as they seem. But that's how you feel around them; irrelevant, a background character in the perfect lives. _You'll never truly be one of them._ you think. Until you stare into the water of the river. And you notice the light bouncing off of your cheeks. It was a soft light akin to to the light of the early dawn. You look up at your friends and you see none of them have this glow. It's all yours. You are too suddenly warm and this warmth allows your like to glow even brighter causing your light shine on each and every one of your friends.

These poems describe the journey to the path of self-love
