Lisa's point of view
I'd been much in need of cheering up when I got to school that day, so to see Claire at reception waiting to go home as I'd signed in had made everything feel a little brighter, because at least we could all be morons without her telling us off. To find out that after PE my best friend had told the popular girls exactly where to stick their ideas gave me a much needed boost and reminded me that, even if my Grampie was no longer around, at least my life was still pretty much as it had been. And at least I had four good friends who never seemed to fail at making me giggle between them.
"So what did she say? Not in PE, I got that bit, she tried to set you up with the other new boy, but after." Lee said after she'd explained the whole story to us.
"And good on you for saying what you were thinking on that by the way as no-one else is going to say it. I mean they basically were brainwashing you." I added.
"Awh thank you Lise. She told me that my friends were idiots and that you'd never see my true worth and potential..." Faye said.
"Sorry, the person who was using my best friend against me for a year suddenly cared about people's worth?" I laughed, pulling my lunchbox out of my bag.
"Well I knew what she meant. They liked me as a power piece against you two, specifically you Lise, because they see you as weak. Anyway that's beside the point. I told her again that you lot see me for who I really am, not just for my looks and what I know about other people outside their group. Then I told her to, are you ready, 'take your fucking worthless opinions and shove them up your ass.' Then she walked away, so I count it as a win."
H laughed. "That's awesome."
"You think that's good? Someone tell him about when Faye punched Melody." I replied.
"You punched someone?" H asked surprised.
"Oh come on it only happened once and only because she insulted my best friends." Faye said.
Lee told H the whole story, while Faye checked how I was.
"I mean I'm still alive and I'm not... oh fuck mum gave me the wrong sandwich... sorry not crying so I think that's a positive." I replied, before rubbing my nose. I shrugged and ate half of the jam sandwich anyway.
She sighed and lent into me so we could hug. She brushed her hand against my back and I smiled a bit. "It gets easier with time okay." She whispered.
I nodded, though it was more of me just rubbing my head against her shoulder. "Yeah. I'll be alright with time, Auntie May just said I had to 'let the dust settle'."

When we pulled away from each other Faye lightened the mood by sharing her 'exciting' news with me. "Oh and I have some good news too. Yesterday it finally decided to show up for the first time in my life."
"Oh it only took you nearly two years after me you lucky little bitch!" I replied, pushing her playfully.
She laughed. "Yeah well, some people just are lucky. It doesn't hurt too much actually I kinda thought after all you and Claire's fuss that it would feel like someone was trying murder me or something."
I laughed at her. "Good luck. You might find that the pain comes to join the party in a few months, certainly did for me."
She groaned, but decided not to say anything more on the subject as H looked over at us with the look he always had before asking a stupid question. Lee just looked a little bit grossed out.
"Come off it that wasn't even a graffic conversation about them." Faye said to Lee with a shake of her head. I laughed at the way her messy curls bounced as she did it, and she elbowed me sharply. This was just the way things were between us and it made me happy to believe that nothing much would ever change.

Lee's point of view
Having gone home, Claire was messaging us none stop for the rest of the day, trying to find out if she'd missed any work. She certainly didn't miss anything exciting, well except for music where we were given our new project. The aim was for us to split up into groups and write our own song. The reality was that me, Lisa, H and Faye were sent to the other music room (which had the added bonus of having computers as well as keyboards) together and then aimlessly messed around with computers, hopelessly played keyboards and stood on tables.

Lisa had stuck on a random playlist of music she had on Youtube which was a right rollercoaster of different music. We'd had Shut up and Dance (by Walk the Moon) on, which her and Faye had sung along to as loudly as they possibly could while dancing around like a couple of idiots; H had sat on a table filming it on Snapchat and I'd just resigned myself to the fact that my best friends were morons and we weren't going to get anything done. Then straight after, in a sudden change in moods, we'd ended up listening to Photograph by Ed Sheeran.
"Turn this shit off." H moaned.
Faye went to tickle him, so he scrambled up onto the table he'd been sat on. Then she looked at him and started to smile. "So as Claire isn't here to mum friend us out of it, could all four of us stand on one table together?"
Lisa smiled. "We can try..."
I sighed. "Claire might not be here but that doesn't suddenly make it a good idea."
I was met with pleading looks from both of the girls and had to give in.
Lisa got up onto the table with H first, and the two of them shot each other the exact same look of pride at breaking the rules. "Right Lee or Faye which one of you are coming up next?" Lisa asked.
"Me!" Faye said, practically bouncing with excitement.
She got up onto the table hugging Lisa for support.
"I thought you were good at balancing Darcy Bussell?" H teased her. She rolled her eyes at him and stuck up her middle finger.
