She still thinks about the moment she discovered this cool but 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡 power. She was huddled up with a group of first years waiting to be sorted just like her. They all looked equally as nervous as her. Some were shaking, while others were hopping with anticipation. She looked up and saw the ceiling was a beautiful night sky. She watched a shooting star fly across the ceiling, she made out several constellations. It was magnificent.
Tons of students from different houses were eyeing the newcomers waiting to be sorted. It was making Blair feel incredibly nervous for her turn. What if she was put into Slytherin? She remembers her mother telling her that's where all the death eaters came from. Even worse she HATED snakes and their mascot was a snake, it just wouldn't work out for her to be put into there.
She began to notice the group of first year students were filing down, and it was only her and a handful of people left. How did time pass so quickly? Is my name being called next? Blair wiped her hands on her skirt trying to get rid of her sweaty palms. She looked up at the boy being sorted, he had such blonde hair it almost seemed to blend into his scalp. He looked like a ghost. The sorting hat didn't even have to touch his head before it shouted,"SLYTHERIN!" She heard the students of Slytherin cheer while welcoming their new member, he got up and brushed past Blair with a devilish smirk on his face. He obviously knew what house he was going to get. Before Blair could continue her thoughts about this mysterious boy, her name was called.
"Blair Woodland." Professor McGonagall read off her list. Blair let out a loud gulp and awkwardly climbed to the podium holding the stool. Her heart was beating out of her chest making it hard to breathe. This is it. I'm getting sorted. I'm going to be stuck with this house for all of my years at Hogwarts, this is going to become my new family. She sat down on the stool and shimmied herself into a somewhat comfortable position on the wooden stool. She made eye contact with her new friend she met on the Hogwarts Express. Her name is Hermione Granger, she let Blair sit next to her and this boy named Neville and they all shared silly little stories they heard about Hogwarts while enjoying candies from the trolley. It was a grand time.
She gave Blair a tiny smile, that helped Blair feel a little better. Maybe she'll get Gryffindor just like Hermione! The house of the brave! Blair began smiling.
McGonagall lowered the sorting hat onto the top of her head. Blair waited for the sorting hat to began to speak. She closed her eyes.
Her heart was beating so loud she couldn't even make out the words the hat was saying. She made out the words 𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 and 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹. I'm getting put in Slytherin! Oh no this wasn't suppose to happen this was a nightmare.
She heard the sorting hat yell,"SLYTHERIN!" But she didn't get up. I'm evil. I'm a terrible human being, I got put in a house full of death eaters, does that mean i'm getting marked. The dark mark has a snake on it! My mascot is a SNAKE. Blair's face began to tingle violently. She felt her face rearranging at a alarming pace. What the hell was going on?!?
That's when she saw students look at her with pure terror in their eyes. Some even let out a scream. Blair placed her hands on-top of her face and let out a bloodcurdling scream that echoed across the Great Hall.
She turned herself into a snake.

Hogwarts was not fun for the past three years. It consisted of me being terrorized every SINGLE day, just because of my first year incident. Yes, no one forgot it. I'm officially called "Snake Girl." To make matters worse I don't have even friends. In this entire school not a single person is willing to even glance in my direction. I would be better off as a Hogwarts ghost.
Most people would think spending every day alone without anyone to talk to would be torture but for me it's relaxing. I don't have to worry about saying a wrong thing or screwing up a relationship. I can just be myself all the time. I tended to spend most of my days next to the black lake with my feet dangling in the water, and a book in hand. Just not worrying about anything at all. Sometimes people would follow me out and push me into the lake, but I wouldn't mind.
My entire Slytherin house HATES my guts. I can't say I did anything wrong but maybe it's my entire existence. They lock me out, they leave spiders in my bed, and sometimes even take my clothes and towel so I have to run naked to my dorm. No where is safe for me. Draco Malfoy and his gang hate me the most. They follow me around campus calling me cruel names such as "Snake Bitch" or "Flithy Cunt." The words used to hurt, but not as much anymore i'm immune. I think of them as compliments. To be honest, I don't know why Draco hates me I never said one bad thing about him before! Like he honestly needs to untie his knot.
The only person in this school who doesn't pretend I don't exist is Neville Longbottom. We met on the Hogwarts Express in our first years and his been "friends" with me ever since. He sometimes joins me at the Black Lake so he can hunt for plants. His so sweet and always has something to talk about. He can talk about the color orange all day and not get bored. I think he only hangs out with me because he feels bad for me but I honestly don't know.
I thought my 3rd year was going to be a sad helpless case just like my first two, but than I crashed into Cedirc Diggory and it changed everything.
I honestly don't remember how it happened. All I can remember is I was being chased by Draco's Gang because they were trying to hex me for god knows what reason. And I had to practically sprint down a crowded hallway full of students who had just got out of class, with both of my arms stacked with library books. I turned my head behind me looking at Draco and his gang grow closer and closer to me. I was too busy paying attention to Draco, who was almost near me with his wand pointed at my chest, ready for the hex. When I felt myself crash into a really strong chest. Books were flying. WE were flying, it was a messy scene. I fell to the ground with Cedric. We were awkwardly wrapped around each other on the school hallway. I was to busy untangling our limbs when I noticed students were laughing and pointing at me, I felt my eyes burning and tears were about to spill. When Cedric picked up all my books for me and helped me off the ground. He told everyone to mind their own business and to keep walking, of course they obeyed the king of Hogwarts. Draco and his gang were long gone, they were probably laughing their heads off in the Slytherin common room. I kept on apologizing to Cedric over and over, I mean it was all my fault. But he blamed himself for the whole mess. His such a gentleman.
Long story short, he frequently invited me to hang out with his Hufflepuff crew at lunches and breaks. I couldn't believe it, why would anyone want to hang out with "Snake Girl?" But, Cedric insisted I sit with him and his friends, so everyday for the last month of my third year i'd sit with them. His friends weren't too fond of me at first but they slowly began to talk to me. I used to think Cedrics Hufflepuff Crew looked so tough and stuck up, but they are actually really funny and honestly nice. I began to notice people were treating me different now that I was hanging out with Cedric and his friends. No one was calling me "Snake Girl" anymore, they were calling me Blair. People started to talk to me and my own house let me sit near them! I thought all was going well until I realized Draco and his gang were still terrorizing me, and it was getting worse than before. I just knew they were planning some big prank just from the way they would snicker when I walked past them. So I told Cedric and the next thing I knew, Draco and his gang were fully avoiding me.
My last month of third year past in a blur. And the next thing I knew I was on the Hogwarts Express heading home. When the train pulled into Platform 9 3/4 and I was starting to make my way over to my parents, Cedric walked in front of me and grabbed both of my hands in his. His hands were so soft, just like a newborn baby's. I stopped breathing completely. We were holding hands. Than he lowered his lips so close to my ear, I could feel his lips brushing against them. He than gently whispered,
"𝐼'𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢."
