𝐼 𝐴𝑊𝑂𝐾𝐸 𝑇𝑂 𝐴 𝑇𝐻𝑈𝐷 𝐴𝑇 𝑀𝑌 𝑊𝐼𝑁𝐷𝑂𝑊.
I stared up at my bedroom ceiling, still trying to process the sound I just had heard outside of my window. Was it an owl?

I eventually decided to investigate the sound, I rolled out my bed, and made my way to the window. Waiting on my window step, was indeed an owl who looked extremely old and had grey feathers that were sticking in odd angles, the owl had small yellow beady eyes. The old owl must've not seen the window, and crashed into it. It could possibly be blind.

"You poor thing. Come inside now, I have a cup of water on my bedside table you may drink out of."
I told the ancient looking grey owl, who happily obliged and flew inside my room making way to the cup. The owl dropped the letter from its beak and onto the floor, than began drinking the water.

I crouched down and picked up the worn down envelope. It looked like it had been dropped in mud on the sides and maybe even fell into some sort of sticky liquid. This owl definitely had a rough time delivering this letter. I tore open the envelope and a gray ticket fell out of it. I picked up the ticket and to my great suprise discovered it was a Quidditch World Cup ticket!

Who sent me this? Could've it been Cedric? But, he hasn't wrote to me all summer and he said he was going to. Maybe this letter was a wrong delivery? The owl was incredibly old looking.

I began to read through the letter and was shocked to discover that I was indeed invited to the World Cup, by the one and only Ron Weasley. I've never actually talked to Ron before, we were once partners in potions but he never really acknowledged me, he just sat as far as he possibly could away from me. I also knew he hung out with Harry Potter and my old acquaintance Hermione Granger. I've never understood why Hermione never talked to me again. Maybe she was ashamed of me? I don't know.

When I finished reading through the letter I found out they were all leaving early tomorrow morning, so I was suppose to wait by the fireplace tonight at 8 a.m sharp. Oh god, I was staying at the Weasley household! I don't even know any of the family members that well, all I know is that there all redheads! Even worse, once in my first year I cried in front of the Weasley twins because they were so tall and intimidating and I thought they were going to perform one of their pranks on me! Jesus I can't do this.

I placed the letter down on my dresser and watched as the owl was still slurping the water inside the cup. I should send my reply now if i'm leaving tonight.

I went into my dresser and dug out a spare piece of parchment paper and my favorite quill that had a beautiful dyed pink feather. I dipped my quill in some black ink and sat myself down on my bed and began writing out-

𝐷𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑅𝑜𝑛 𝑊𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑙𝑒𝑦,

𝐼 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑔𝑙𝑎𝑑𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑣𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑄𝑢𝑑𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑐ℎ 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝐶𝑢𝑝! 𝐼𝑡'𝑠 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑤𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟. 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛'𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑖𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢'𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑙𝑦! -𝐵𝑙𝑎𝑖𝑟 :)

I sealed up the letter and put it into a envelope that was abnormally yellow. I turned back at the owl and it looked like it had finished all of the water that remained in the cup and was already sat near the window, ready to deliver the letter. I walked over to the grey owl and stuck the envelope into its beak. I gave the owl a final stroke before it flew out the window and into the morning sky.
