Chapter 8

The next day Knock Out was moved to his house to recover because he wanted to be home to rest after what he'd been through.

And Ratchet agreed that he could recover at his home on the condition that he took it easy and someone else stayed with him to make sure he was safe.

Knock Out was glad because he didn't wanna be alone right now knowing Road Siren was still out there. So Starscream agreed to stay with him for a few days using his guest room.

When they got there Starscream suggested they watch a movie. He was hoping to help Knock Out get his mind off things knowing his ordeal had affected him.

They decided against watching any horror movies after what Knock Out had been through it might be to triggering. So they decided on a comedy instead.

Knock Out was just grateful to be safe at home and that he could see again. Just then Starscream's com-link went off and scared Knock Out who was more jumpy then usual.

"What's wrong with you?!" Starscream answered his com-link. "You scared poor Knock Out half to death." "Have you lost your mind?!"

"Oh I'm sorry I know you meant well I think we're all just a bit on edge right now." Starscream apologized. "He's fine and I didn't mean to snap like that don't cry OK I didn't mean it." "And I promise I won't tell Optimus."

"Who was it Steve?" Asked Knock Out.

"Not exactly." Starscream replied. "I can't believe I just made Megatron cry."

Then they both give each other the most shocked look imaginable before they busted out laughing. It was funny because it was so out of character for Megatron showing how much he changed. Because during the war he would have given Starscream a beating for talking to him that way not be driven to tears.

Starscream was glad Knock Out was laughing now. Knowing he needed a good laugh after what he had gone through during the past few days.

When suddenly Knock Out's com-link went off and he assumed it was another concerned friend or coworker. So answered it.

But suddenly Knock Out's optics widened in pain as he slumped to the floor shaking he was hearing the frequency that Road Siren had used to torture him once before that he hoped he'd never hear again.

Starscream noticed something was wrong right away when he saw Knock Out's optics widen and start rolling to the back of his helm as he slumped to the floor.

Knock Out could only hear the frequency and everything was starting to blurr.

"Help..!" He barely managed to choke out.

Starscream didn't waste anytime and rushed over to help his friend. He know the com-link was the source of the problem right now and wanted to shut it off since Knock Out couldn't do to the frequency making it impossible for the red medic to focus.

Starscream was trying to reach it but he couldn't shut it off because Knock Out was currently shaking too hard that frequency was causing him a great deal of pain.

Starscream could tell it was hurting Knock Out maybe even killing him so Starscream ripped Knock Out's com-link out knowing he had to stop him from hearing that frequency.

"Sorry it was the only way." Starscream told his friend when he saw some energon dripping down the side of his faceplates.

Knock Out thanked the seeker with his optics before passing out. Then Starscream called Ratchet and told him to hurry.

The seeker kept his missiles ready in case Road Siren tried to attack them. Part of the seeker almost hope she would so he could make her pay for hurting his friend and everything she had put Knock Out through.

Then Ratchet came through a ground bridge that opened and Starscream explained what happened. While the older medic tended to Knock Out.

"You did good by getting his com-link out when you did a few minutes more and that frequency would have killed him." Ratchet told Starscream.

"Thanks Screamer." Knock Out said after he had recovered his strength a little. Fortunately Ratchet said he was going to be fine.

"Anytime." Starscream told the cherry colored mech.

"No more com-link till Road Siren is behind bars." Knock Out suggested. "If anyone needs me for anything come get me in person." "It's just too dangerous."

Starscream and Ratchet both agreed with him on that and called the others and told them what the situation was. And that if they needed Knock Out for something to send someone to get him.

Later that night Knock Out heard a crash. And got up to see what it was and met Starscream in the hallway the seeker had also heard the crash so they both went to investigate.

Starscream kept his missiles ready in case of an attack. And Knock Out got his saw and drill out hoping he wouldn't have to use them because he still hadn't fully recovered and didn't know if he could handle a fight right now.

And to make things even more ominous Starscream's com-link wouldn't work. It was like something was blocking the signal.

Then they came to where the crash had come from and saw that the door to Knock Out's house had been forced open.

Then Knock Out noticed a piece of amor plating on the floor and knew who it belonged too.

"Starscream she's in the house!" He said nervously.

Then both mechs kept their weapons ready knowing Road Siren might attack at any moment.
