I spend most of my time reading criminal justice books or searching the web for the latest news. I must admit there's not much to do outside of school, well besides being a normal teenager. Summer vacation started two days ago and I'm already bored. Dad's in Iraq and mom...well she's always working, says it keeps her occupied and passes the time till dad comes back home. She's part of the CIA, so she's got her hands full everyday. So, I pass my time with the occasional rebellious acts, pulling pranks on my mom or vandalizing old buildings with my friends.

Speaking of, I should've gotten a call by now from Andrea. She's my best friend, been there since first grade. She was supposed to call me with details for tonight's "Activities". I glanced over at my desk, where my phone currently resided face down next to my laptop. I let out sigh and closed my criminal justice book. I don't know why I was so drawn to the information that lay between the pages, but the reading was addictive. There's so much that people don't know about our justice system, the fact that leading corporations get away with literally everything is crazy. I set the heavy study book onto my bed, the weight of it made an increase in the blankets.

I rose from my comfortable spot by my pillows and walked over to my desk. Pulling out the chair, I sat down and flipped my laptop open. The dark screen awakened and showed my lock screen picture, it was me and my dad fighting over a water hose in the backyard. I smiled at the memory, the water was so cold yet he insisted we have a war. I typed in my password, causing the picture to disappear and open up to my screen saver. A picture of me and my friends, huddled together around a bonfire. I checked the time in the bottom right of my screen. 4:32 pm and still no text or call.

I opened Chrome and went into an ignotio tab. What can I say my mothers pretty strict, she checks my history all the time. I don't think she'd be happy if she found out I was going deep into the web, lurking in places only serial killers ventured. I'm a curious kid and not to mention pretty smart. Smart enough to set up my own firewalls and custom back tracking system. I usually visited a chat room, where I could talk to other kids my age around the world, why this is on the dark web? I have no idea, but it was fun. I clicked the link to the chat room and watched as new messages arrived in the chat I had joined just a few days ago. And had already made some friends on it, I was pretty excited. We never gave out our real names to each other or personal information, because you never know who might be looking through our chats, so we just went by our usernames.

4:35 pm Eastern Time

Starlight17 has joined the chat

JackSlayer46: Sometimes I wish I could just leave the country, the music isn't good here anymore lol

CreepPasta82: Where are you located @JackSlayer46

KakkCrayon: Probably somewhere cold and lame lmao

JackSLayer46: Actually I'm from Cairo, I'm guessing your from Cali, with that attitude

I chuckled quietly to myself. JackSlayer46 was one of my favorite kids to talk to, he was outgoing and really smart. KakkCrayon, was outspoken and always said what was on her mind, she didn't care if it hurt your feelings or not.

KakkCrayon: Hilarious dude

DragonBoi: Guy's look Starlight17 joined the chat!!

CreepPasta82: Really?

ChasRokk: What time is it where you are? @DragonBoi

Starlight17: Yes I'm here! LOL only for a bit though, hanging with some friends later

DragonBoi: 5:37 pm @ChasRokk
