Mondo's POV (7:00)

I was awoken by the stupid school announcement by the schools mascot, MonoMono, that goes off every school morning

Ding-Dong-Bing-Bong~!
"Gooodmorning students! It is now 7am. Rise and shine! A fun-filled day is waiting for you!"

I groaned, throwing my pillow at the speakers it's projected from

"Why can't I ever fucking sleep in?!" I shouted to no one but myself. Good thing the walls are sound proof. I rolled out of bed and headed to my bathroom to take a hot shower.

I put on my regular outfit of a White tank top, Crazy Diamond jacket, Grey baggy jeans supported by a black belt and white slip on shoes. I checked my hair once more in the mirror before heading out.

The time was now 7:45, not that I was keeping track or anything. I past other kids who were just leaving their dorms. Some dorms had 2 or more people leave them. I chuckled to myself, they must of had a good time last night.

There's a rule of on school nights you're not aloud anyone except yourself in your dorm, but no one really takes notice of that rule. Surprisingly, I have followed that rule every day I have lived here. I do invite my best friend, Kiyotaka Ishimaru, over some nights but he always politely declines, he's someone who follows every single rule in the book and never wants to or breaks them.

Kiyotaka's the most inspiring and emotional person I've ever met. If you were to do something for him, let's say, give him a present for no reason what so ever, he would break down crying... Well, that's what he used to do. Me and Kiyotaka been friends for awhile now, 3 years or so, and I've never regretted a single second we've spent together. He's kind of like my replacement brother after Daiya died inna bike accident 2 years ago, which is maybe why I started calling him Bro. Kiyotaka liked the name and started calling me that too.

I opened the doors to the cafeteria (where all the students have to meet every morning at 8am) There were loads of kids here before me, no surprise, I'm normally one of the last ones to arrive but Kiyotaka asked me to arrive on time from now on... And how could I say no to him??

I saw Taka sitting in his usual seat at the end of the big lunch table. I walked over to him and sat next to him
"Hello Mondo!" Kiyotaka said with a smile when he noticed me "How are you this morning?" I shrugged my shoulders, putting my feet up on the table
"Ehh, I'm fine. Tired actually. We ain't get no sleep for shit-"
"Mondo, Language, please." Taka told me in the nicest way possible
"Oh, right. Sorry bro.."

After a couple of minutes, an announcement was made

Ding-Dong-Bing-Bong~!
"Goooodmorning students of Hopes Peak Academy! Please check your E-handbooks for today's timetable as it has been updated! Today's lunch menu is full of sea foods. If you would like more information please check the lunch menu on your E-handbooks! Have a wonderful day everyone!"

Everyone got up and started to leave. Unexpectedly, the announcement tune played again

Ding-Dong-Bing-Bong~!
"Oh! One more thing! Kiyotaka Ishimaru! Please report to Principle Kirigiri's office immediately!"

The room filled up with whispers. I could feel people stare at Taka, who I noticed from the courner of my eye, didn't have a smile on his face anymore
"Do you know what that's for, Taka?" I asked him. Kiyotaka looked at me and smiled
"Oh, it's probably nothing! Maybe just something to do with my Hall Monitor Dutys. Don't worry about it Bro!" He said in a cheerful voice. I just nodded and smiled.

I sat in my 1st period class. Kiyotaka hadn't arrived yet, his seat was empty. Maybe he's still at the principles office..? There was a knock at the classroom door. The teacher signaled for the person to enter and in walked Mikan Tsumiki, the schools Nurse.
"Umm, I'm s-sorry to interrupt, but is K-kiyotaka Ishimaru in..in this class?" She asked. The teacher shook his head
"No sorry. He usually sits there-" he points to the desk next to me "But he hasn't arrived yet."
"Oh, I see.. o-okay-"
"He was told to go see Principle Kirigiri this smorning through the 8am announcement!" I shouted, so they didn't think he was skipping class or something. Mikan jumped, then looked at me and weakly smiled
"T-thank you." She then left the classroom. I wonder why she wanted him?

Lunch rolled around and still no sign of Taka. I had packed my self some lunch so there was no need to go to the cafeteria. Kiyotaka had told me that I should start making my own lunches, it would help with my cooking skills and such. I walked onto the sports field and sat down at the cherry blossom tree, Taka's favourite spot. We sit here every chance we get, if it just for lunch or after school. It's very peaceful.

I put down my duffel bag and leaned up against the tree and closed my eyes...
"I hope your okay Bro.."
