3 (Mondo)

Mondo's POV (11:55AM)

Well, Kiyotaka didn't arrive at Lunch. I thought I was gonna spend the whole time by myself before one of my acquaintances, Leon Kuwata, came up and started talking to me. It was nice of him.

Leon offered to walk with me to our class, and I agreed. The second bell had rung and me and Leon still hadn't arrived to class yet. The 2 of us bolted down the hallway and into our class. I shut the door behind us
"Mr Owada and Mr Kuwata. Why are you two so late..?" The teacher asked. I started to scratch the back of my neck
"We umm.."
"We had to walk from all the way from the sports field Sir! That's a long ass walk!" Leon said, saving our asses. The teacher just nodded and told us to sit down. I thanked Leon and went and sat in my seat. No suprise, Taka still isn't here. How long does it take to talk to the Principle?

As we were supposed to be reading a paragraph for the next warm up, the classroom door slowly opened. Everyone turned around to see who it was, even me. And who was it you may ask? No one other than Kiyotaka Ishimaru. His eyes were red and puffy as if he had been crying and I noticed he had forgotten to button up the sides of his sleeves, so you could see bandages wrapped up on his arms. The teacher didn't even notice him so Taka quietly sat down in his seat

I watched as he buttoned up the sides of his sleeves in a paniced motion. He ran a hand through his hair before letting out a sigh.
"Taka-" Kiyotaka jumped at the sound of his name. He turned to me and smiled
"Hello Mondo. I'm sorry for being so late!... Principle Kirigiri kept getting called to do stuff while we were working on my new time for my Hall Monitor Duties." I smiled and nodded
"Hey, no sweat Bro." Taka looked down at the sheet I had on my desk
"What's that for?"
"Oh! It's a paragraph we have to read and stuff. You want it? I don't care if I don't have one." Kiyotaka frowned and didn't respond for a bit. He stared at me "Umm, Hello? Taka?" I waved my hand Infront of his face. He blinked before looking at me
"Oh, sorry.. I was just lost in thought,"
"What were you thinking about?"
"... Its not important."

(1:10PM)

We sat at the blossom tree, eating our lunches and talking. I was glad Taka was here with me this time, I missed him, even if he was gone for only acouple of hours, I could never live without him.
Taka suddenly stood up
"I'm just gonna go to the bathroom, I'll be back!" He then rushed off before hearing my response. I watched his figure get smaller and smaller until he went around a corner and couldn't be seen no more. Well, that was strange.. ehh, it's probably nothing.

As I sat there waiting for Taka to arrive back I saw a different figure walking towards me.
"Sup Mondo!" He said, waving his hand.
"Hey Leon! What's up dude?" Leon sat down next to me
"Oh, nothin'. Wheres Kiyotaka? Wasn't he with you just before?"
"He had to go to the bathroom." I told Leon "It was kinda suspicious. He got up, told me, then left without waiting of my response."
"Maybe he really had to go?"
"Yeah, maybe.." I talked with Leon for awhile. Nothing in particular, just random things I thought of and simple questions to try and get to know him better.

"So, how did you and Kiyotaka end up becoming friends? When did you meet? Did you save him from some bully or someshit?" Leon asked out of the blue. I shook my head
"No, it was nothing like that. 3 years ago my parents forced me to get tutored because my grades were terrible. And Taka was the tutor my parents chose for me. I would go to tutor lessons every Monday, Wednesday, Friday after school, and we would meet up at the town's library. I was so angry at the thought of wasting my time learning more useless shit out of school hours, but-"
The school bell rang interrupting my story.
"Oh great.. I really don't wanna go to classss.." Leon winged. He then looked at me "You wanna wag class with me, Mondo? C'mne dude! It'll be fun!" I looked down at Leon and shook my head
"Sorry dude, I can't. Taka would be furious If he-"
" 'Taka' isn't here at the moment. You have to make your own choices Mondo, don't do things just because you know Kiyotaka will want you to do them. Besides, after this lesson schools over. You'll be able to see him after that." I thought for a bit before letting out a sigh
"Okay, okay. I'll wag with you. But where the fuck are we gonna stay until 3 without been seen by anyone?"
"Oh, I know the perfect place..."
