5 (Mondo)

Mondo's POV (3:30pm)

He didnt say anything after I told him why I wasn't at our last class. Taka just stared at his boots. I moved from his desk chair to the bed where he was sitting and sat next to him
"Are you and Leon like... Best friends now?" Taka spoke, still looking at his boots. I ran a hand back through my hair, messing it up.
"Well, I guess you can say that.." I replied as I grabbed a hair-tie from the pocket of my pants and tied back the front of my hair. Taka closed his eyes. I thought he was gonna start crying again but he suddenly smiled. He then opened his eyes and looked at me
"I'm happy that you've got a new friend, Mondo." That was a totally unexpected responce "But you shouldn't be skipping class because he tells you too. Class is important."
"I know, I know... That was just a one off thing. I'll never skip another class ever again." I told him. I knew I would never be able to keep that promise after I had said it and instantly regretted it. It was fun skipping out on class with Leon and we promised to do it again some time this week.
"Good." Was all Taka replied with before laying back on his bed. I looked back at him. Taka looked at me and scrunched up his face for a second. I started laughing. He looked pretty stupid. He suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me back with a great amount of force so I was lying back next to him. I forget how strong he is sometimes.

I looked over at Taka. He looks so... perfect. He has the perfect life. He'd gone to a famous private school and won honor awards every year, has excellent grades and his Dad loves him with all his heart...
"Umm.. Mondo? Why are you staring at me? Do I have something on my face?" Taka's words snapped me back to reality.
"Oh umm.. No you don't! I was just thinking.." I felt my face heat up a little. What the fuck? Why does my face feel hot all of a sudden? Taka placed a hand on my forehead which startled me
"Are you feeling alright, Mondo? You feel hot."
"Y-yeah, I'm totally fine."
"You sure?"
"Yep! really sure."
"Okay. If you start to feel sick or anything just tell me. I'll have some medicine you can take." Taka cares so much for me... what do I do back for him? Skip class and make him worried about me? Such a good friend I am. I gotta start actin' nicer.
"Thanks Bro."

(4pm)

Suddenly, Taka's doorbell rang. I sat up and watched him walk over to the door. He opened it
"Hello Kiyotaka, I'm sorry to interrupt you.." The person at the door spoke in a feminine voice
"That's quiet alright Chihiro, I wasn't doing anything in particular! What do you need my assistance for?"
"Well, I was just wondering if you'd like to study with me for our Science exam sometime this week?" I saw a slight smile appear on Taka's lips
"Oh, of course! I'd love too!"
"Aah! That's great! We can do it whatever day suits you."
"... How about Wednesday?"
"Sure! Can we meet up at the library?"
"Yes, that is the most best place to study."
"Great! I'll see you then Kiyotaka!"
"Okay, goodbye Chihiro!"

Taka then shut the door and sighed.
"What exciting news." I said out of the blue. Taka shrieked before turning around to me
"Oh my goodness, Mondo! I forgot you were here!" I laughed then crossed my arms
"Isn't that just rude?" I said in a fake sad voice.
"Wait, Mondo! I didn't mean to-"
"I'm kidding Bro!" Taka just looked at me and pouted, crossing his arms then turning his head to the side. I got up from the bed and walked over to him. He didn't move a muscle. I grabbed Taka and lifted him up by the waist. He looked down at me and smiled. I adjusted myself to be holding him up from under his thighs. Taka unfolded his arms and putting them on my shoulders. I felt my face heat up again, but took no notice of it. I spun around acouple of times before putting Taka back on the ground. He moved his arms so they were now wrapped around my waist and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back, running one of my hands through his short spikey hair, slowly. We stayed like that for awhile. The only sounds you could hear were the sound of the birds chirping outside.

"Mondo?" Taka's voice was kind of muffled from being pressed up against my chest.
"Yeah?" Taka lifted up his head and stared up at me
"I know it's against the rules but... Do you want to stay with me tonight? Just this once!" I ruffled Taka's hair and smiled
"Sure bro. Whats the occasion?"
"Occasion? There's no occasion."
"Then why do you want me to stay over?"
"Well... We didn't really get to spend a lot of time together today... So I wanted to make up for it now!" I chuckled
"You really wanna risk it just to spend time with me?"
"Of course Mondo! I want to spend every second of my day with you! I probably wouldn't be here without you.." Kiyotaka kind of mumbled the last past
"What was that Taka?"
"Oh, nothing." He then rested his head on my chest, looking out the window "Just talking to myself..."
