Third Task (16)

I sat in my blue uniform, today is June 25th, Draco turned 15 on the 5th and I sent him a gift he would attempt to talk to but I would avoid him. I have grown pale and my mindset had fallen into unwarranted sadness, Mcgonagall looked at me noticing my depressive state as I waited, "IF YOU EVER GET CAUGHT IN THE MAZE OR PANIC SEND UP A FLARE!" I noticed Viktor was acting strange as I watched the wand set off a gun fire like noise into the air, and I started into the maze feeling Draco's gaze on my back. I jogged quickly down the first seeing a T intersection and I bit my lip I went left and ran a long ways down, "Lumos" I said as I went past a dark section and a large cat like figure jumped in my path, "You must answer my riddles to pass" I looked at the creature brows raised "where did they get a sphinx?" I asked and the cat creature looked at me up and down. "I Speak without a mouth and hear without ears. I have no body, but I come alive  with the wind. What am I?" The cat asked as the wind grew behind me and I noticed the hedge was changing and my anxiety picked up, "an echo?" I asked without hesitation and the sphinx looked at me confused "you're a Ravenclaw aren't you?" It asked as it slowly vanished as I nodded and sprinted out of the closing lane, "shit, shit, shit, shit!" I said quickly hitting the T intersection and running straight int Cedric. I yelped and landed on my side as I was bulldozed by the taller Hufflepuff and he smiled awkwardly "sorry Sammy..." He said and helped me up, I saw sparks and my eyes narrowed in confusion than suddenly Viktor turned the corner and pointed his wand at Cedric and I "Crucio" and I crumbled to the ground in shock and pain as a high pitch scream echoed off the walls from me, memories came rushing back as my body withered and Viktor turned his attention to Cedric. "H-He isn't in c-control!" I yelped out as my body resurfaced the pain from the Cruciatus curse and Viktor used it on Cedric as well, "Stupefy!" I heard Harry yell stunning Viktor and he left, I inhaled sharply standing the vivid memories returned tenfold and I looked at Harry who was looking down on me worried. "I am alright Harry..." I said and stood my limbs shaking and my eyes dull, "gods I regret breaking ties with Draco... I have no energy..." I said sadly and Harry looked at me sympathetically as I followed him and Cedric from the closing maze. 

We kept going winding and turning through the maze looking for the way as lanes kept changing before we stopped for a breather, I huffed uneasily and stretched "what... Is this maze never ending?" I asked in an unforgiving tone as I leaned against the wall gently to breath. "Gods... It's getting harder to breath... My lungs and body hurt still from the Cruciatus Curse" I said sadly and the boys looked at me. "Do you want to give up?" They asked and I sent them both a deadly look and stood "Like hell am I giving up!" I snapped and stretched cracking and sending shivers down my spine, "now I see why Malfoy likes her... She is unrelenting and unforgiving along with witty, sarcastic and resilient" Cedric said and I sent him a dirty look as I yawned. "Jeez... I am tired..." I mumbled and started jogging down the corridor that was almost never ending until it winded right and I sighed as I kept going, the boys behind me as I continued until it made a sharp left turn and there it was. The Triwizard Cup and my mouth fell open in shock "oh my Merlin..." I said in shock the boys looked at me amused as we started down but the maze had a whole different idea, it started closing and I picked up my pace my legs screaming at me to stop, along with my lungs and ribs. "Oh heck no am I getting caught in this devil of a maze" I said and I tripped screaming in shock as the roots started wrapping around me harshly, "no no no no no... Guys help!" I screamed trying to get the branches off but they just wrapped around my arms. "Guys!" I screamed and I noticed they froze before coming to help me, "Guys please!" I screamed bruising started forming around my arms and legs, they shouted a spell I didn't hear and the roots vanished and I was helped up and I spun on them both "you two were going to leave me behind!" I screamed tears pricked my eyes and they looked at me mortified. "Forget it let's go" I said sharply and shifted into my animagus form and started sprinting towards the cup the wind blowing through my fur I shifted back when we got closer, my long blonde hair flowing behind me as we broke the surface and looked at the cup "you guys go ahead" I said looking at them and they looked at me in surprise "like hell am I leaving you behind! Malfoy would legit kill me!" Harry said eyes trained on me and Cedric looked at me, "Harry come on..." He said but before I could do anything Harry and Cedric grabbed my wrists and both touched the cup. The world around me whizzed away in mist, wind, and leaves leaving me partially blind, we landed and I was winded and knocked out, "Sam!" Harry said in a panic as darkness surrounded me "we are not at Hogwarts anymore..." I heard before darkness envolped me.
