LISA
The road we stumbled and take after leaving our one and only friend is not easy. One they were hunting us. Two we don't have a permanent place to go. She wondered for days, and if we are lucky enough to find something to feed on, we'll share.
"What are you doing in my land youngsters?" Until one day, we happen to meet someone right in the middle of a forest. A big house, big gate, surrounded by big trees.
"I'm sorry, we were just passing by." Jennie answered before pulling our hands.
"Jessi, they are my friends." We gasped but immediately I held her forearm. The woman she called Jessi just look at us, before averting to her.
"Cloak girl." We said in unison, this is the first time she'd appeared after the incident right in our place.
"Who are they?" I gulp when she sounded so tough.
"Direct decendants of Selene." After saying the word, she immediately pulled us inside.
"Why are you still wondering?" She asked before closing all her doors and windows.
"Jessi, I've trained them but its not enough. I can't go with them, since they are suspicious of me." She sigh but her cloak still covering her face.
"Are they aware how to use their abilities now?" We all nodded as she sigh in relief. "If that's the case, then you should be going now. I'll take care of them."
She stood up without thinking twice and without even glancing up to us. But before she could go, I held her forearm as hard as I can. She sigh before dragging me outside.
"Why?" She softly ask.
"Do you really need to leave?" She smiled while nodding.
"I need to or you'll be in danger. Jessi will take care of you." I held her hand, and for the first time she didn't move away.
"But, how about me?" I asked and I could feel her tightening her grip.
"Not until your safe, I can't answer that." I bit my lips to prevent myself from crying.
"So are you just going to leave me just like that?" She sigh before facing me.
"I don't want to but do I really have a choice?" She whispered as she pulled me into a hug. "Do you really think this is easy for me? Its not Priya. I will always worry about you."
"Please, Don't leave me." She slowly move backwards, held my face with both hands.
"You know what hurts the most? When I hear you pleading and I cant do anything about it." I exhaled heavily as my tears started to pour out.
"Will you wait for me?" I asked, she wipe my tears, and gave me the smile I've been longing for.
"I'll be waiting for you." I pulled her closer and give her a little peck in the lips. She smiled as I let go of her but surprisingly she held my nape giving me a passionate kiss, slowly but she made me feel what she meant by those words.
"Aren't you going to show me your face?" I didn't intend to hold her cloak but before I could slide it off, her statement made me froze and stunned as she disappeared on my sight.
"Even without seeing my face, if your heart really mine, you'll remember me."
I woke up hearing practically their loud voice. Sometimes they tend to forget that we have sensitive ears. I sigh before getting ready and joining them up.
