The first time she saw a dokkaebi, she thought she was hallucinating. But when someone's head just exploded beside her, it was then she realised that she was going through the beginning of a nightmare.

That was what Athanasia suddenly remembered as she continued to look at the strange floating hologram. Next to her, Claude glared at the large holographic screen even though he had no idea what it was. As a matter of fact, most probably everyone in the ballroom had no clue what they were looking at.

Athanasia thought her heart was beating fasting so she clenched on her chest, hoping it would calm her down that way. In times like these, freaking out would be bad for anyone. Your mind would go into a frenzy, you would start making irrational decisions without even thinking about the consequences and by the end of the day, you find yourself in a difficult situation you could never escape from.

"What in the world is this?" Claude mumbled, narrowing his glowing jewel blue eyes at the screen. He pulled Athanasia closer to make sure she wouldn't stray away from him. That, at least, calmed down her nerves. He glared at one of the nearby guards. "You. Go and inspect what that... thing is. Now."

The guard stiffened but did as he was ordered to. "R-Right away, sire!" he exclaimed before he and a few more guards approached the strange hologram.

Felix was also about to run towards the large hologram which glowed an eerie blue colour but was stopped when he felt someone tugging onto his long cape. Turning around, it was Athanasia who was looking at him anxiously. "Your Highness, please let go off of me. I assure you that I'll be back here immediately -"

"Hm!" Athanasia shook her head, desperation filling her glowing jewel blue eyes. "No, Felix! Please... Stay close to me...," she pleaded to the surprised knight. The last thing she wanted Felix to do at that very moment was approaching the holographic screen. Because at any moment...

She shivered, not willing to make herself remember when the dokkaebi first appeared before them in the subway.

Looking at Claude who was wondering why his daughter was acting so clingy around the knight, Felix furrowed his eyebrows before smiling reassuringly at the princess. "If... that is what you want from me, then, of course, your Highness."

Hearing Felix's calm voice despite the chaos ensuing around them helped in soothing Athanasia's nerves. Still, she should not let her guard down now. With both her hands gripping onto both the knight's and Claude's capes tightly, she hoped that she would not lose them both in the dark.

Her eyes shifted all over the place, taking in everything she was seeing before her.

Anastacius had his arm wrapped around Jennette's trembling shoulders, trying to reassure that everything will be alright. But Athanasia knew for a fact that everything would not be alright.

Roger and Ijekiel were discussing with each other about what in God's name was happening, distressed expressions on their faces.

And Lucas? He was only staring at the hologram, confusion evident on his face. With furrowed eyebrows and a frown, he was about to walk towards it but was abruptly stopped when a small figure materialised out of nowhere, surrounded by a bright light which went brighter and brighter.

Everyone in the ballroom let out cries and gasps, covering their eyes so they would not be blinded by the bright light. Athanasia bit the bottom of her lip. If what was going on right now was the same thing she was thinking of...

Her train of thought stopped when the light became dimmer and replacing the light was a floating fluffy creature.

Looking at the fluffy creature, with its two small horns, black beady eyes, a black bowtie over the straw mat it wore, Athanasia could only utter out one word.
