"Levi, if I may ask." Erwin looked over to the shorter male besides him. Levi kept his focus ahead of them, still carrying Yakima on his back. He stared for a bit before looking in front of him. "What do you intend to do when you can't save her? What if she's out of your reach?" He really tried to word it correctly without him getting pissed off. "I promised not to do that again, so it won't happen. Never again." Levi was quick to respond to that and let out a sigh. Erwin narrowed his eyes and nodded to his answer. He looked at Yakima and picked her off his back.
"She'll be staying with me for now. You, on the other hand, should get some rest. I'll take care of her." He stopped in his tracks and stared at Levi. "Tch." He seemed upset, but he knew to trust him with her. He then walked off being greeted with hanji immediately.Erwin made sure she was comfortable in his arms. She was weak and limp in his arms but was well off comfortable. He walked to some rooms in the barracks close by. The Scouts headQuarters was somewhere else, but they had to stay in Trost for the court date. She seemed very peaceful in his arms as they were bigger than Levi's. She felt like a child. He walked into a room that just had a couch and a table with a chair. He set her down on the couch and took off his jacket. He then laid it on her so she wouldn't be cold and walked over to the table. He sat down and was lost in thought, staring at the wall for a moment. He looked over at Yakima and stayed silent. He analyzed her face as if searching for something to find about her. He sighed before turning away and getting rest himself..
She didn't wake up until 3 days late, exactly on the day when the court decided for Eren.
Yakima woke up to have a sharp pain in her chest; intensifying by the second. She groaned as she slowly got up "Good you're awake." Her brother says, coming up to her with a button-up shirt. He gently put it on since he knows it will probably hurt her if he did it too quickly. She looked at him. She rubbed her eyes and looked to the corner of the room. She saw Erwin and his back turned towards them both. "We have a court date today for Eren. So we need to be there on time. I'm glad you've woken up just in time for it." Erwin states as he turned away from the window. She had her shirt on at that point and walked over. "Court date for what exactly?" She asked, holding her side in pain. She couldn't comprehend anything at the moment, and she honestly forgot anything from a couple of days ago. "Up." Levi demanded, and he also helped her put on the ODM gear for her. She looked at Erwin with a straight face and had her full attention on him. "Do you remember seeing the wall being plugged up a boulder? We've received news that it was a human controlling a titan. His name is Eren Jaeger, a cadet in the 104th cadet corp."
Erwin explained and put a hand on her shoulder. She stared for a bit before looking down."Right. I remember when I saw him, I saw markings on his face and he was passed out." Yakima responded, and once Levi was finished, he stood up. "Try to walk and tell me if it hurts," she began to walk and gripped her side. Her face broke that emotionless expression as she winced. "Good enough, let's go." Levi was the first one to go, and the other two were behind him. Erwin put a hand on her back to help her walk properly and made sure not to put a lot of pressure on it. She tensed up a bit and looked up at Erwin with a confused look. He looked down at her and had a soft smile on his face. She seemed confused but went with it. She never seemed to understand that type of thing anyway. She liked it but it felt wrong to her. She gripped her side as they made it to the court. Erwin gently caressed her back as they walked in to try and sooth the pain a bit. He was trying to help the best he could.
He closed the door behind us and helped me get to the stands. She then let go of her side and opened the small gate to where some others were. She still felt his hand on her back, and she knew Levi noticed. He decided to ignore it, though, and she didn't understand why. She seemed to ease into it a bit as she became less tense. She wanted to lean into him more, but it wasn't professional at all. She found comfort to it for some reason, and she didn't seem to understand why. She got herself together as she looked at the door where Eren was supposed to enter. Her upper torso was really hurting, and she actually wanted to pass out. It was overall just hard to have a fractured rib. She looked up at Erwin, and he looked down at her. She felt her heartbeat increase a bit, but she didn't understand it. She's never felt like it before, so why now? The sudden slam of the door made them rethink their thoughts and became professional. Everything was quiet, and his hand left her back immediately. She straightened herself up, and her face was void of emotion.
