my perrie,

it's the 30th letter that i am writing to you, by now we both know there's no chance i'll send them you. it hurts too much to have you read these when i hurt you in ways much worse.

mila and shawn have been so supportive and kind. they struggle with our accent sometimes but i'm learning to slow down and pronounce my t's. they'll get use to it soon.

they do wonder when i'm going to speak to you again, but i told them i'm not sure. i don't want to rush you into anything you aren't comfortable with.

vivienne is an okay boss. she pays well and means well, but she's picky and wants everything all the time. it's tiring but i need the job so i'm sucking it up.

their house is nice, it's big and private. but they leave tonight to go to miami, they are staying for christmas and new years. so once again i'll be alone. i'd love to be with you pez, i'm sorry i can't be.

i turn over onto my side, grabbing my phone aggressively and prodding the 'snooze' button on my alarm. i made it my priority to go out today, get some shopping done for dinners and some last minute presents. i knew the jet lag would catch-up to me, and i could already feel it. but i needed to be productive.

i wore a hoodie that perrie bought me, it was old and worn out from being used so often but it was comfy and reminded me of her, as-well as some blue mom jeans and my chunky white trainers.

i grabbed my phone and keys and left the house ASAP. it was still quite early, 09:36 to be specific, so my whole family was still asleep.

just as i got downstairs i saw karl and little karl sat watching paw patrol.

"hey kid, where you off too?" karl smiled at me.

"shoppin'" i grinned.

"can i come auni' jade? pease pease pease pease pease pea-"

"go get ready and i'll get your seat into the car." i smiled at him.

he jumped up off the settee and ran upstairs, karl soon following him knowing he was too young to get ready himself.

i grabbed me mam's keys and got karl's car seat out before locking her car and unlocking mine, clicked it into place in the back seat of my car.

i headed back inside to be welcomed with warm smile from little karl, we talked for a few minutes with karl before leaving to go to asda. i buckled karl in and shut the door and climbed into my side.

the engine purred as i turned the keys.

the drive was 10 minutes down the road, not long after perrie's house. but i have to admit, i did slow down when passing, only to see if the box had gone (which it had). nothing creepy, don't worry.

i parked in one of the 'parent-child' car parking spaces, they were nearer the entrance and more room for the fat car i'm driving. i climbed out and grabbed my phone, keys and bag. karl had already unbuckled himself by the time i'd opened his door, he held his arms out for me to carry him. i gave him my bag to hold and picked him up, shoving my phone into my back pocket whilst i got a trolley.

i pulled my mask and gloves on and put karl's on too. we headed over to the trolley bays where i pulled out a two seated-large trolley and whiped it down with the anti-bacterial spray they provided at the side. then sat karl in one of the seat's and my bag in the other.

we start shopping and picking up basic foods to make meals with: vegetables, spices, pasta, bread, etc. aswell as ingredients for making buns.

karl wanted to look at the toys upstairs so we went up the escalator and to the toy aisle. i picked him up out of the trolley and told him he can look but to not touch too much.

his eyes were glued to a dinosaur plushy, it was bigger than him and was dark blue. he smiled at me as i walked over to him and looked at the price; £29.99. i contemplated it, knowing it's christmas in a few months and already having bought his gifts, but he looked at it like it was a diamond. he loved the thing and i couldn't say no to his adorable face.

i smiled at him and picked him up, sitting him on my hip and putting the teddy in his place. he giggled and hugged me tightly. i kissed his head through the mask and carried on walking down the aisle.

we paid for everything, including rodney, the dinosaur, and walked out to the car with only two bags. karl was in the trolley with everything so we didn't have to carry it all.

i finished loading it all into the boot and we put rodney in the back seat next to karl's seat.

i pushed the trolley back to the bay, karl still sat in it, and put it back into its place. karl made grabby arms so i picked him up and carried him back. his head was on my shoulder as i walked to the car. but just as i got back to the car i heard;

"jade?"
