"DID YOU SEE HOW HE LOOKED AT ME" I squealed slapping Mandy's legs repeatedly. At the moment we're snuggled on her bed watching movies, eating Ben & Jerry's.
"I DID OMG THAT HURTS" she laughs her loud laugh which only causes me to laugh just as hard.
After gossing as much as we could about McDreamy, Ama turns the conversation to the little group of bitches that seem to have started to hate me.
"I don't understand why they don't like me. They haven't even had a proper conversation with me. They just shoot evils at me and whisper behind my back!"
"Han, they're jealous of you!" Ama shouts
"Why would they be jealous of me? What is there to be jealous of?" I screw up my face in confusion.
"For starters, you are a solid 10/10. Secondly, they've noticed how Mr Horan acts towards you, and Carley and her sheep have had the hots for him since he started at our school last year." She explains. I just scoff and shove a handful of popcorn in my mouth. We stay up until 3am just talking and watching movies which were more like background noise.
We scoff down pancakes for breakfast before finding outfits to wear to town. I've gone with my patchy Shut Up and Kiss Me tank top and my bleached shorts, white 'thongs', my horse ring, messy bun and for the first time in forever, I'm going with next to no makeup. I feel aight for someone who only had 5 hours sleep. I turn to see Mandy wearing a blank skeleton tank with faded shorts and combat boots. She dresses too dark for her personality but meh it looks good. Not to mention her perfume is -in her words- "AMAZEBALLS". I'm so happy that ma girl has her license or else we'd have to take the stuffy bus into town and just ew.
On the ride to town, we blast the radio and sing at the top of our lungs. This girl is honestly my soulmate.. in a friend way.. but like she is so much like me.. Luckily there was hardly any traffic today so before I know it, we are in town and looking for a parking, and damn that is a mission. We park in one of those parking lot building things and start walking to the shops. First stop- TARGET. We browse around for 15 minutes before going to the next store. We continue this routine until we get to City Beach. Ama and I search the racks and she finds some clothes she wants to try on so we go to the change rooms.
"Amz, I'll wait out here for you! Make sure you show me!" I whisper-yell, trying not to draw too much attention.
"Okie dokie. Might be a while though, I have 4 different outfits I want to try on." She yells back and I laugh at her indiscretion. After I've judged her first outfit- a long skirt with a blouse and kimono- I lean against the wall and someone walks up to me and it takes me some time to realise it is the man I've been gossiping about all night. I try to act cool as he stands in front of me.
"Hey Hannah-" he pauses, then smiles.
"Nice shirt" he chuckles and I can't help but blush.
"I see you're.. shopping?" he smirks. I try to stifle a giggle as I reply sarcastically,
"Me? Shopping? No way! I'm just standing here. In a store."
"Hold the sarcasm, missy" he winks and I choke. Right on cue, Mandy walks out with a huge smile asking how she looks. Her face is the image of shock but turns into a happy one in a split second as she walks over.
"Mr Horan! Who knew you shopped here?" She says in her best white-girl impersonation. He scrunches his eyebrows before replying sarcastically,
"It's not like I'm young or anything, you know, I'm your old teacher."
"Hold the sarcasm, missy" I say in a mimicking voice and we both start laughing at each other.
"No fair, using my words against me, you cheeky little-" he's cut off by Mandy clearing her throat. Immediately his face goes white and he tries to pull his normal angry face before mumbling,
"I better get going, make sure you two do your homework.". As he walks away, he turns and gives me a cheeky smile before he turns back around and keeps walking. I look at Mandy and she gives me a confused look
"Han, what just happened?"
"We just flirted, Ama.." I say trying to let it sink in.
"we.. FLIIIIRTEEEED" I sing as we both jump around.
