Chapter 17

I walk in and sit down, looking at Niall writing the lesson plan on the board. He turns around and his face is in its usual mad form. Okay so this is a good start to keeping this secret. He acts like a dick throughout the lesson like always and I roll my eyes at him.
“I expect to still see you in detention, Hannah” he says sternly and everyone watches me as I get scolded. I just go back to doing my work and counting down the time until the end of the day.

I walk into the detention room and it is dark as always. I sit down in my seat and Niall smirks up at me.
“Aye-aye, how was your day?” he asks.
“It was boring.. and maths was.. annoying”
“Sorry, at work I can’t let my guard down. If everyone sees me as who I am, I will be the new pushover teacher and I want respect. Do you know how hard it is to earn credibility from everyone else, being a teacher at 21?”
“I understand.. I never knew that but I can see where you’re coming from.” He walks over to me and gives me a peck before sitting down next to me.
“M’sorry I just wanted to do that all day.”
“Niall, I’ve been thinking and I’d love to have something with you but I feel like it has just moved too quickly, you know?” he looks down a bit before saying,
“I’m sorry for asking you so soon.. I’ve never really had a long term relationship so I’m not good at relationships.”
“It’s alright, if we work at it, we can maybe date down the track” I suggest.
“I’ll settle for that” he smirks. He leans in to kiss my cheek and I hold up my hand.
“Not in school. It will be the one place we’d be caught for sure”
“I had to try” he laughs and I just punch his arm. We have little talk and I mention the rumours floating around the school.
“At least no one knows it was you”
“I hope so, Hannah, because I would get sacked for hitting a minor. You know that, right?”
“Yes. And that’s why I’m so grateful that you risked your job to help me.” He just blows air out of his nose, looking down.
“Hey, how about we hang out one weekend? You and me, movie day or something?” I suggest.
“That sounds good...”
“I’d like that.”
“Well it is 4, so your mum should be here. I will see you in detention again tomorrow, love” He says, opening the door for me. I just thank him and walk out, making my way to the parking lot.

Calm down, it has only been 6 weeks. I’ve been busy with exams, Niall xx Obviously you love my company because you keep trying to land me in detention, Mr Horan ;)

I just miss talking to you alone for an hour each day like we did.

We talk on the phone all the time, you dummy.

It’s not the same as being able to take in your features as you talk, or when I make you laugh.

Shh… we can start Skyping! Problem solved ;)

Good idea!!

Almost forgot, bring an overnight bag and a change of smart clothes.x

IT’S A SURPRISE JUST DO EEEET

I laugh down at my phone and get out of bed. It has been almost two months since Niall and I said we should hang out but I was just too busy with exam prep.. AND on top of that, the cheeky shit missed me so much in detention that he kept trying to find reasons to give me detention! All of that aside, it is school holidays and I have 3 weeks off school before I need to go back for my last 2 months of school… EVER!!! I’m so excited like damn! But then on top of that I am super nervous too! I should try catch you up though because a lot has happened in the past 8 weeks. Let’s start with Carley- her friends all left her and she found a new group. She still hates me but has been under the radar lately. Brittney and Cara joined mine and Ama’s cool crew and Elise left school. She got a beauty apprenticeship. Mandy and Harry started dating not that long ago… they flirted and hung out non-stop since they met and even ‘sabotaged’ Niall and I in detention one day. They called it a double date. Who in their right mind thinks that detention is the perfect place for a double date? OH did I mention? Harry and Niall are mates. I KNOW- WHAT a coincidence! Anyways, he knows about us but has for a while because a little Irishman I know cannot shut up about the girl he likes apparently. You should’ve seen the look on their faces when they realised what was going on! It was priceless!
