Imagine 20: (ignore my old author's note at the end, please)
Daniel came up behind me, scaring me ever so slightly. I jumped in surprise, which made a small smile appear on Daniel's face.
"Hey, Y/n," Daniel trotted behind me as I walked to my first class.
Ignoring him for scaring me, I didn't answer. He didn't take this lightly, so he gripped my arm and pulled me into his warm embrace, which sent me into a certain ecstasy.
"I said hi, Y/n," he spoke again. With his arms wrapped around my waist, the comfort of him close, I melted into a puddle, at the feet of my gorgeous boyfriend.
Rolling my eyes, I smiled because I couldn't help it. His strong arms around me kept me safe and comfortable. "Hi, Daniel," I sighed.
This time it was his turn to smile. "What's your first class?" he asked, nuzzling his head in my neck, which he knew I always enjoyed.
Today was the first day of senior year. Daniel and I have been together since 8th grade. Ever since, we've been unstoppable. This gave us our title, the 'It Couple.' Daniel and I enjoy that name. Our names are always all over the school newspaper, as rumors spread that we broke up, however none of which are true.
"Chemistry."
He smiled against my skin, and kissed that area softly. "I do too."
All of the four years we've been here, we've had the same schedule. My guess is that Daniel pays them for us to have the same classes.
A few people stopped and stared at us, whispers of conversation grew and grew. This was normal. During the summer, a rumor would go around that we broke up, but the next year starts and people start talking again. It was like a endless cycle, never failing to disappoint our reputation.
"I got you something, love," Daniel removed his arms from my waist. I frowned suddenly feeling cold and empty without him.
"What is it?" I asked. This was routine. Daniel gets me something every year, I get him something in return.
He reached in his backpack and pulled out a small box, "Here you go."
He smiled brightly as I opened the box.
Inside is a small charm bracelet, with only one charm on it. It had the year 2021 on it, the year we graduate.
I held it up and put it on. "Daniel, correct me if I'm wrong, but a charm bracelet is supposed to have more than one charm on it."
He chuckled, "You are correct, my dear. However, since we are going to be together forever," This made my heart beat faster. I hoped it was true— us together forever, a dream that never lost its comely power. "We are going to have a lot of adventures, for that, I got this. Each time we have something unforgettable going on, we make a charm and put it on there," he pointed to the bracelet. I could sense his nervousness. "I got one for both of us," he stated.
"Daniel! I love it!" His smile grew, and his nervousness disappeared.
"Really?"
