I sighed as I hung up the phone. This was the third time it had happened and he had only been at school for two weeks.
I got up from my office chair and logged off my computer. I walked out into my small apartment and grabbed my handbag and car keys.
As I made my way down the stairs of our apartment block I wondered what it had been this time. Last time Luke, my son, and his supposed "arch nemesis" Zoë had used each other as a painting canvas in art class. It ended about as well as it sounds.
And the time before that they got into a huge argument over who was better out of Athena or Poseidon. Of course Luke said Athena.
And, whatever it had been this time, was the third time something had happened that made the school need to call me. So that meant I had to go and have a meeting with the principle, Luke, Zoë and her parents.
This was all very ironic because her name was Zoë Jackson AND she thought Poseidon was better. It had crossed my mind several times that she could be Percy's child. But I don't know if he ever married and if he had kids.
For me I basically had an affair with this person named Josh and it didn't last very long at all. We're talking so short I never even knew his last name. But don't all hate me it was a couple of months after Percy went away and I was really upset so it just kind of happened.
After I found out I was pregnant I moved back to San Francisco so I could be near my family and get extra support from them. I lived there in a tiny apartment near my family's house for thirteen years but this year I got a job in New York so I moved here with Luke, who is now fourteen, and we live in this small apartment in Manhatten.
So yeah it isn't ideal but oh well. I'm kind of happy I guess and I am closer to Camp Half-Blood. In fact I hadn't been back since I'd had Luke. It brought back too many memories of Percy. But I thought I should probably go back sooner or later and visit everyone.
I exited the apartment building and got into my silver Mazda car. It took me about fifteen minutes to drive to Goode High. Oh yeah, and it was Goode High, Percy's old school, so it probably was Percy's child. Well this meeting is going to be fun.
I kept telling myself that Jackson was a very common last name so it might not be his daughter. In fact it probably wasn't. The world is a big place.
But if say it WAS his daughter, how would Percy and I react? Well it's probably not him anyway and there's no point in worrying so-
I was cut off my thoughts by arriving at Goode. I got out of my car and locked it and walked into the school office building.
I walked through until I found the door marked "principle" and knocked on the door.
I heard a voice inside call out "come in" so I walked inside.
But what was waiting inside, I was NOT prepared for.
"Oh my gods!"
