It was her. The girl from the bus and my dreams. I could tell by the beauty of her flowing brown hair. I dropped my eyes and started to eat my lunch. I felt like I knew her in a past life. She was so radiant, why didn't I say something? The bell rang and I headed off to Chemistry then Physics class.

I have to know why she looked as surprised as I was. I suddenly realize the other kids in the classroom were staring at me. We were learning how atoms vibrate against sound waves and other things. That got me thinking of how I learned that I could control fire and hold it in my hand. Then a scent caught the hairs in my nose. I smelled the air then looked down to see that there was a small fire on my desk. I put my hand over it trying to put it out, I could hear the kids whispering about me like they always do.

My hand felt strangely moist and cold after a few moments. I lifted my hand to see the fire was put out. Water dripped from my hand into a puddle on my desk.

"You're welcome," I hear beside me.

I quickly shift my eyes to my right to see Anna smiling under her dark hair. My interest has hit an all time high. I found her after school and stopped her.

"What was that?" I asked frantically.

"What was what?"

"That back there in Physics," I demanded.

"Oh that," she said with little interest.

We sat down and explained to each other our abilities. She told me that she stumbled really across her powers, like literally stumbled. When she was little she was walking around a small cliff, her shoe broke off part of the cliff and fell into the water. She thought she had died because she was under water and breathing like normal but she realize she created an air bubble around her mouth and nose. She told me that she water gunned the fire from under my hand. When she finishes i look over the see Bella walking my way with two kids that almost look identical.

"Hey, Leo, whose this?" she asks with her happy tone.

"Annabelle this is Anna, Anna this is Annabelle but we call her Bella."

"Whose we?" Anna asked with interest.

"My older brother, Caleb, and I. He works at the hardware store and weapon shop down the road. So how was school today Annabelle?"

"Terrific, I made new friends." She said as she bounced giddily to them as they walked up to Anna and me.

"Hey, Jericho," she greeted "hey Eli."

"I'm guessing your their sister," I hypothesized.

Anna nods and I turn to tell Bella that Caleb won't be picking us up today. Anna suddenly whips out her cell phone and calls up someone who I'm guessing is one of her parents.

"Hey can I invite my friend, Leo, and his little sister over since their brother can't pick them up?" She asked.

She smiled and said her mother would let us stay for as long as we would like. We got up and walked to Anna's house which was quite a distance but we didn't mind as Anna and I got to know each other.

We turn a corner and walk up to a neighborhood full of big fancy houses. We come close to a big blue house.

"That blue house is ours, it was rebuilt after a huge fire, the contractor said they built it exactly the same, some of the rooms were untouched by the flames" Anna said while smiling.

Bella and I simultaneously stop dead in our tracks as we look at each other with sorrowful eyes.

"You guys okay?" Anna asked while holding Elijah and Jericho back by their backpacks.

"Y-yeah," I replied quickly trying to pick up my pace so I was next to Anna. I didn't know how to put the words in the right place to tell her that it was our old home she lives in now. I crossed the threshold where the gate was and it felt like an extremely strong energy was in the perimeter of the household an it beckoned to me.

"Look who has finally come home," a  deep mysterious voice whispered out to me. I went wide-eyed and look all around me to see where it was coming from.

"Bella where are you?" I telepathically called to my sister. I kept searching for who was talking but I saw no one.

"I'm around back with Eli and Jericho. Why?" She replied back.

"Have you heard any whispers?" I said while picking up a stick.

"With Eli and Jericho talking and asking questions, I can barely hear myself think" she said with a hint of laughter.

"Keep your eyes and ears open," I warned her. I met Anna's mother who was as pretty as Anna was. She was a little shorter with shorter hair but radiant the same.

I walked around the house bringing back the memories of my childhood. I notice the old oak tree in the back of the house seemed unscathed, that was the very tree planted when Bella was born and it grew from a sapling to a full grown oak in 13 years.

I walked around for a bit to see if someone was messing with me. Anna came onto the porch and offered to show me around even though I know that I know my way around. She showed me all the old places Bella and I would hide when our parents would try to use us for their experiments and Caleb trying to stop them. I tried to hold back the painful memories. The only new things that were added was a cellar and a door that lead down to my room and Bella's room.

"There is a hidden door to your left Leo, open it and look inside it. If you want to know who I am and what you are then you must open that door," The voice boomed to me.

I was a little skeptic to the voice but my curiosity over powered me "What's this hiding hole?" I asked point to the hidden door.

Anna looked at me with surprised, "You saw my hiding hole?"

"...Sure," I replied slyly.

She opened the door and she showed me a bunch of things she found after the house burned down. We crawled in and I found that it was surprisingly roomy. I looked around as she rifled through some boxes. a couple boxes in general caught my eye.

"Leo take the box under that floor board," he called to me.

I rip up the floor board and pick-up the strangely familiar box.

"Leo!!! What are you doing? My parents will hear you and flip out!!" Anna cries out.

"It's O.K. there's like three layers of fire proof insulation here," I said picking up both black boxes that had two distinctly different marks on them. Then I noticed there was a note under the boxes. I read the note over in my head silently and my legs buckled when I finished it.

"What's wrong Leo?" Anna asked as she sat down and placed her shockingly cold hand on my back. I handed her note and I heard her read it but when I looked up her mouth wasn't moving.

"What the Hell," I thought to myself.

"What did you say Leo?" Anna replied.

I asked her if she was reading the note aloud to herself and she said no she was reading it in her head. I explained to her that at some points in time I can hear people's thoughts.

"So what does this mean?" Anna said as she handed the note back to me, "I can't read this. This looks like Latin or Greek."

I thought to myself "Well at least now I know the voice in my head is apparently my older step-brother and he has to talk to me and my new friends."

"Let's see what's in the boxes," Anna said snapping me back from my hallucination.

I grabbed the blacker box of the two and inspected it. Anna glanced up to see to shadowy figures in the doorway. One was widely built like one of the school's defensive linemen and the other was skinny with what looked like a flattened fro like another of the school's football players. They both had glowing red eyes with one having a white glow and the other a grayish glow.

"Leo!! Don't open that box, open the other one first!!" Savitor yelled in my head.

My curiosity blocked out everything around me. Anna gasped as what happened next.

SWOOSH.... a bright flash of white light and then everything went dark.
