"When you're hungry, and you eat a small mouthful of something...it makes you even hungrier."

============================

the spring tournaments would be coming soon, normally anyone would be nervous, but Inarizaki worked the same way they worked. "alright, break time." The coach says as they hand over towels and water bottles. "I can't wait till practice is over." Suna said as he sat on the floor. "don't go slacking off Suna." Kita said as he passed by. "your receiving looks great samu. keep it up." Kita gives Osamu a water bottle. "Thanks." Osamu said as he drank water. "I'm not slacking!" Suna says but Kita walks off. "You are slacking. I can tell." Osamu says with a chuckle. "oh shut yer trap samu." Suna says, annoyed. Osamu looks over at Kita's direction, Atsumu was pestering him again. Osamu sighed. "yeah I want this practice to be over."

Osamu sighed heavily as he immediately went home. he laid on his bed. That walk with Kita made Osamu regret living. He wants more of Kita, he wants to know more about Kita, hang around Kita, he wants Kita even more. "why am I doing this to myself? why didn't I deny his offer?" Osamu mumbled angrily at himself. The more Kita would talk to him, the more he hungered for Kita.

"Does he always influence your choices?"

"of course he does. I care about him." Osamu said to himself. 'Am I a pushover? should I just tell Atsumu I love Kita? what will happen to us? would Atsumu be angry?' Osamu asked himself as he started to overthink. 'why would Kita want me anyways? I'm not fun like Atsumu, I'm not smart, I slack off a lot, so I should just give up.' Osamu thought as he tried to convince himself to give up, but his heart refused to. ding! His phone ringed a notification. "might get home late, on a date with Kita! xoxo" Atsumu texted Osamu. "just give up already samu." Osamu said to himself as he put away his phone. But giving up wasn't in the Miya genes.

"your doing it again." Osamu was surprised when Kita snuck up to him as went to practice early. "what do you mean-" Osamu was cut off. "your not looking me in the eyes." Kita frowned. "Haha really? sorry about that." Osamu said nervously.

"Osamu are you free after class tomorrow?" Kita asked. "Suna and I are hanging out" Osamu said, running away.

Kita was annoyed. Osamu had been avoiding him for a week and Kita will not tolerate that. 'why would I care anyway' Kita thought about why he was annoyed but he couldn't find an answer at all. 'because we're friends? or because I'm his captain?' "you look upset Kita-san. Something wrong?" Atsumu asked. Kita sighs. "just thinking about the tournament." Kita lied. "you don't have to be worried, you have the best players in your team!" Atsumu bragged. "yeah we do." Kita chuckled a little.

Osamu enters the gym late and greets everyone, obviously not making eye contact with Kita and quickly made his way to Suna, asking for help in stretching. It wasn't visible but Kita was getting frustrated. Kita could not pinpoint what ore why he was feeling this way and decides to confront Osamu after practice, hopefully he wouldn't run away.

"Osamu. Come here." Kita called after practice. Osamu flinched from the cold tone and went over. "Yeah captain?" Osamu asked, still not looking at Kita. "your doing it again. your avoiding me. why is that?" Kita crossed his hands sternly. "U-uhm.." Osamu muttered, trying to look for an excuse. "it was a dare. I was talking to a friend from Tokyo and he dared me to ignore the team captain until today." Osamu lied with a sheepish smile. Kita sighed in relief. "I thought you were angry at me." Kita smiled as he was relieved. "also I'm adding four more laps to your run tomorrow because of this." Osamu gasped, "Kita-san that's not fair!" "What ya did to me wasn't fair either." Kita said sternly. "how about I make it up to you instead? Suna and I went to a nice café once. how about I treat you there?" Osamu asked, desperately not wanting more jogs, and silently hoping to spend time with Kita once again.
