This story starts when you are in need of a fake boyfriend, to help you from getting into a forced blind dates. Because no matter how many times you said NO, they insist you must go since you are still single.

It annoys you to the point you do wanna go, but only to burn the meeting place into ash. And after considering possible consequences of the rash action, you decided to approach this one quiet guy in school.

Heʼs a genius because heʼs good at academic. Hence he should be called as Schoolʼs No. 1 genius, yet everyone calls him a boring nerd. Similar to you, he refuses to join any social gatherings, especially the one that intends to find partners.

With a strong assumption that he do shares the same desire as you: which is want to stay away from those gatherings-you approached him one day in the library and offer him a deal.

"Be my pretend boyfriend. You donʼt need to show up nor change your appearance or anything. You just have to text and call me like a boyfriend would do. So I could show everyone that Iʼm in a relationship, and that they would leave me alone."

He who was reading looked at you with a straight face. His front bangs were too long that it almost poke into his eyes, if it was not for his glasses protecting those brown iris. In that short moment you realized he has such a charming monolid eyes hidden behind those glasses and long front hair.

"What would be of me?" he asked, showing a slight interest in your offer.

He knew what he will get in return, but he wanted you to say it. While you donʼt mind saying it aloud. He is interested and you will make him invest in your plan.

"The same thing. Iʼll be your pretend girlfriend. If they mock you, call me to prove to them. Iʼll scold them like a girlfriend would do to protect her boyfriend."

He grins.

From grinning he chuckles. "Sounds great. For how long do we need to pretend ?" he asked next, closing his book-a sign that he is now ready to invest in your plan.

"I believe both of us do not intend to engage in a serious relationship until we graduate. So... until the graduation?" that was your plan, but since you are not the only one involved, you have to hear his opinion too.

He smiles in satisfaction and nods, agreeing to what you were saying. "Thatʼs right." he confirmed.

"Then, weʼll become each otherʼs fake partner until graduation day. Deal?" though you were the one offering the deal, he was the first to offer the handshake.

Grabbing onto his hand, you smile wide while nodding your head excitedly. Glad, the plan executed smoothly.

"Deal!"

Several months passed since the deal begun. Both of you have been exchanging texts and calling each other to keep the fake relationship 'alive'. Also, It would be weird if you have no each otherʼs pictures, so sometimes both of you will exchange pictures too while making it anonymous. Like, a picture with no face.

If there exists people who insist to see the identity of your pretend partner, both of you will just tell them stop shoving their nose in your private life.

And it went well. Very well, to the extend of one day, you are no longer pretending to smile while chatting with him nor to make an excuse to talk with him on the phone. It just came naturally, for both of you to just text each other and call each other like a real couple.
