"y/n, i swear. i don't know what she's talking about,"
mike defended with his hands in the air.
y/n shrugged softly and locked her phone.
"she's...psycho, isn't she?"
"definitely."
mike breathed out in relief with a chuckle.
"you still dated her,"
y/n taunted him with the reminder,
making him roll his eyes.
"whatever! she was still your best friend."
"mm, i don't think that's the same thing, love."
y/n giggled and climbed onto mike's lap,
where he held her waist securely.
"just...forget about her."
"okay. that i can do,"
mike nodded in agreement.
after a while of loud laughs and humorous jokes,
y/n laid at his side and coiled an arm around mike's waist where she laid her head against his chest.
the only noise filling the room being the bird songs and the faint beating of his heart.
y/n was finally where she belonged.
in the arms of mike wheeler.
the two had become triumphant in any obstacle thrown their way,
leaving y/n no doubt to believe they were...
forever.
i like that word.
she thought dreamily with a gentle smile pulling at the corners of her lips.
and as her eyes fluttered,
soon sending her off into a world anew,
her dreams were filled with days of mike.
days where they laughed as one;
days where they laid together,
souls intertwining as one;
days where no one else existed but them.

mike raked his fingers through her hair as her slightly parted lips sent small snores out.
the boy smiled softly as their bodies remained as one,
prompting him to imagine their future together as one.
and as he pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead,
he whispered the soft words of enamor and let the wind carry them away:
"you're the light of my life, y/n l/n. it's just you and me. only us."
