-/-/-/-/-/-/-carefully take my clothes out of my suitcase and place them in the drawers of the dresser. Owen and Charlie had decided to give me some space to unpack. The sun was starting to go down as I had arrived in California kinda late into the afternoon. I know the jet lag was going to kick in soon. A knock on the door brings me from my thoughts and I walk over to open it. It was Charlie.
"We ordered pizza if that's okay with you?" He asks, smiling at me and raising his eyebrow. Was this boy always so sweet? I nod and smile back at him. "That works perfect for me." I say. I look at him and wait for him to say anything else but he doesn't. I raise my eyebrow at him this time. "Oh sorry. This is kind of weird isn't it?" He chuckles softly. I laugh as well and smile at his laugh. "You're fine. I'll be out in a second." I tell him. He nods and walks off down the hall again. Gosh. Stupid brothers cute coworker. I smile to myself and finish unpacking. The boys had turned on a radio in the living room, singing loudly along to it. I walk out to where they are. Charlie was laying across the couch on his stomach. His voice still sounded good while he laid down. That was a hard thing to achieve.
"Here. Let me not be rude." He says, sitting up to let me sit on the couch beside him. I sit down on the couch beside him. Owen was sweeping in the kitchen, pretending the broom was a microphone as it got to his favorite part. I smile and sing along with him. He points at me and does some funny dance moves. "I didn't know you could sing. Owens family must be just pure talent." Charlie says, looking at me. I look at him and nod. "Well Owen has been working on projects to get him better at singing and dancing. I've been a dancer since I could walk and like to do singing on the side." I explain to him. He nods as he listens to me. I blush a little when I realize how hard of eye contact we were making. He smiles at me. I look away and look back at Owen. Theres a knock on the door and Charlie walks off to grab his wallet and get the pizza.
The music has stopped, a few pieces of pizza had been devoured, and a movie had been turned on. It was around midnight and I sat on the couch in between the boys. Charlie grabbed me a blanket to use from his room because he knew it could get kind of cold in his apartment. I curl up in between them and lean my head on Owen a bit. I would've leaned on Charlie but I wanted to get to know him a bit before I accidentally showed him too much of my love language. Owen's love language was sarcasm and mine was touch. It felt nice to hug people and I've always been a cuddler. I couldn't help it. Owen let me lean on him as my eyes started to get tired. I close my eyes. The boys talk quietly beside me.
"She's asleep, Ow." Charlie says softly, looking over at me. "I'll move her in a bit." Owen says shrugging. "Here. I can do it. I want her to be comfy." Charlie says, standing up. Owen carefully moves his arm so Charlie can place his under my legs to lift me up. "Thanks." Owen says, going back onto his phone. I pretend to be asleep and lean my head on Charlie's chest. He smiles a bit and walks down the hall to the guest room. He places me into the bed, grabbing my blanket to pull it over me. I pretty much doze off as soon as he lays me down. Charlie reaches over and turns off my lamp before walking out of the room.
I wake to the sun shining through my window. I stretch and sit up, looking around. Owen knocks on my door. "Come in." I say standing up. Owen walks inside. "Heyyy lil sis. Ready to go explore more of great big ole California?" He asks, stretching out his arms. I had been here before but only when I was younger. My parents didn't let me out of their sight then. I smile at him and nod. "Let me change and I'll meet you out there." I say and walk to my dresser. He shuts my door again before I hear him walk down the hall. I open a drawer and grab a pair of jean shorts and a white crop-top. I looked pretty basic so I decide to go with white vans to look even more basic. I straighten my hair and put on light makeup before grabbing my purse to go meet Owen. Owen and Charlie sit in the living room. They both decide to put on some real clothes instead of sweatpants and shorts. Charlie was actually wearing sleeves. I laugh a bit to myself and shake my head.
"You guys ready?" I ask, looking at them. Owen nods and stands up. Charlie smiles a little at me before standing up and walking over. "You look nice." He comments and I notice his eyes briefly move over my outfit. "You look nice as well. I like the sleeves." I tell him which makes him chuckle softly. Owen walks out of the apartment and we follow after him.
