"AND STAY OUT!" My dad yelled. I crashed to the ground and I immediately get bruised. I got up, sore and cold, and started walking out of my driveway, well, not mine anymore.

I'm only six, why did I do wrong? I was just being a kid. I wanted to play with dad, but he didn't. I'm sorry dad, I didn't mean to. I know I've been bad,but I don't mean it. Or do I? Tch...like I care.

I walked on the sidewalk as the freezing wind hit my corps. It felt like knives were being thrown at me. I groaned in pain and kept walking.

I was in pain. So. Much. Pain. Too much. Was I  dying? I deserve it anyway.

I walked down an empty road. I looked to my left, nothing there. I look to my right to see a huge mansion. I stopped to take a look at it. It was white on the outside. It took up the whole street. I wanted to take a closer look, so I stepped on the black fence that surrounded the mansion and jumped up. There was snow everywhere. I looked over to my right and saw... A little boy? He was staring at me. He looks frightened.

"D-dad?!" He called. I waved. He walked up to the fence and stood infront of me. I was taller than him though. But when he stood on the fence he was much more taller.

"Who are you?" He asked. "I'm sorry I was just looking-" he interrupted me, "Answer my question." "Oh uh, I'm (y/N)." I answered. "Why are you at my house? And why aren't you wearing a jacket?" He asked. "Um...I kinda got kicked out of my house." I said. He gasped. "How old are you?!" "Six." He gasped again. "Me too!.....hmmm....are you cold?" He asked. "Yes. Very." I replied.

"Oh...hmmm..." He pushed up his glasses. "Want to come in my place?" He asked. A burst of excitement went through me. "Hell yeah!" I said. "That's a bad word!" He said. "Oh I'm sorry!" I apologized. He shrugged. "Come over to the fence door,I'll open it for you!" He said. I jumped off the fence and walked over to the fence door. He unlocked it and I walked in.

His front yard was huge. I wonder what the back looks like.

He opened his door and invited me in. There was a huge Christmas tree right in the opening. His house was so warm and cozy. It was huge, too.

"Dad! We have a guest!" He called. "A guest? Byakuya, what did I say about bringing strangers in-" he saw me. "Oh, hello. Is this your friend, Byakuya?" Byakuya? Was that his name? "Uh, well we just met, hehe. But she's cold! I don't want her to die!" He said. His father sighed and walked down the stairs. Two curvy staircases surrounded the Christmas tree.

His father went up to me and he knelt down and examined me. He was wearing a black suit and he had brown silk hair. He had glasses just like the Byakuya. "Where's your parents?" He asked. "Oh, uh, they kicked me out this morning. I have no where to live." I answered. "Hm...come with me. Byakuya, follow." Byakuya nodded and took his snow suit off. He then ran over to us. He was in....a black suit? Why? This family is fancier than I thought.

Byakuya's father lead me to a room. Byakuya gasped, for the third time today. What's up with him and gasping? Oh well. "Dad you never let me in here!" He said. "Because it's my office. This is the only time you're allowed in here. " He said, opening the door and letting me in a huge room. There was a desk and bookcases everywhere. Byakuya ran over to the bookcase and looked at books. He's a bookworm? Hehe, dork.

Byakuya's father sat me down and he walked over to the other side of his desk. He sat down and pulled out some papers. Byakuya looked over. I just realized how tall he actually is. I thought he was on his tippy toes when he was on the fence. He wasn't though.

"Okay, let's make a deal. This is a contract. In these here papers, it says that you can live here. But...you're going to have to be our maid." He said.  "Our maid?" Byakuya asked. "Yes. If you sign this contract, you would have to be our maid up until you graduate. After you graduate, you will be Byakuya's assistant." He said. I thought long and hard. I would have a home. But yet it wouldn't be my family. I would have to clean a house that's already cleaned enough. Wait. This is child labor. But. It's a good deal. Free food. Free drinks. Wait. Do I get a bed?

"Do I get my own room?" I asked. "Mhm!" He answered. "Oh yeah! There's this guest room that no one uses next to mine." Byakuya said. "Hmm.....okay. I'll do!" I said. Byakuya cheered. I looked over and he was happy. Why though? "Byakuya settle down." His father demanded. "Yes, sir!" Byakuya said. He stopped and saluted him. "You will start next week. I won't get you started tomorrow because you need to heal up first." He said. I nodded.

He lead me out of his office and closed the door. "Byakuya, show her around." He demanded and walked away. Byakuya turned to me and said, "If you didn't know by now, my name's Byakuya Togami. I'll show you around my home!" He said. I nodded. Byakuya. Togami. His name is comforting for some odd reason.

I feel like this is going to work out well.
