I thought of this backstory, and I saw that Its A Rui also thinks this. So im not copying Its A Rui's ideas.

"Mom?" Leon peeked in the small, dirty, shabby cottage. Through all those bad condtions this cottage had, it was Leon's home. "Hey honey!" Leon's Mom waved. "Where's Nita?"
"Oh, probaly outside. NITA!!" Leon called. "Comin'!" Nita came running inside. "I found fresh apples that grew near the old shed." Nita placed the apples on the dining table. "Ok, do you mind washing them, Leon?" Mom asked. "Sure!" Leon replied, picked up a bowl, put the apples in the bowl, and walked off to the stream.
(Time skip to the middle of the night)
"Leon!" Leon eyes snapped open. He smelled a icking burning smell. It took him a while to realize what it was. Smoke. Leon threw off his blankets and shook Nita awake. "Nita?" Nita opened her eyes. "There's a fire! Hurry! Hurry!" Leon shouted. Nita jumped out of bed. They both ran to there Mothers room. Their Mom was gone. "Leon! Nita!" A voice called. Leon turned. His Mom was limping towared them. "Mom!" Leon began to run towards her, but a burned sitck fell onto his Mom's neck. She collasped. "Mom!" Leon screamed. Leon grabbed the stick and threw it to the side. He ignored the pain in his hand. Nita and Leon carried their Mom outside. Somehow, someone had seen the fire, and had called 911. The firefighters were using there hoses and fighting the fire. As Leon and Nita laid their Mom down on the grass, Leon help his Mom. "T-take care of your sister..." Mom whispered. She closed her eyes. Leon let go for a second. He watched his Mom fall to the grass. Leon looked down in his hand. It was covered with blood.
(Time Skip)
"Leon, im hungry!" Nita whined. "Shh! Im trying to find some fruit!" Leon hissed. They tramped through the forest. soon, they came across a trees with fruit on them, apples, bannas, peaches. Leon jumped to grab a banna. He passed it to his sister. As he was about to jump again, a voice stopped him. "How dare you steal my fruit!" Leon and Nita jumped. Nita's banna fell onto the floor. A man with a eagles hoodie was in front of them. "Who are you?" The man asked. "We came to find food. Our mom died in the fire. Im Leon, and this is my little sister Nita." Leon stuttered. "Orphans? Hmmmm. My name's Bo. I shall adopt you two. Call me Dad." Bo held out his hand. Leon shook it. "Cmon. You guys need new clothes. Im not letting you guys go through winter with those ragged clothes." Bo led Leon and Nita to his hut. This. This is me and Nita's home. New Home. Leon thought.
