“Hey, wake up!” that was the first thing she heard when she woke up, someone shouted in her ear. Chloe slowly opened her eyes to come face to face with the bus driver. The woman had her hands on her waist with one eyebrow raised.
“I’m up, I’m awake. What happened?” Chloe asked the lady. The woman smiled at her and told her they arrived at Mystic Falls. Chloe nodded at the woman and looked around. There was no one left in the bus except them, even Jeremy is gone.
Chloe sighed and stood up. On the floor she saw a white piece of paper, it fell from her lap. She bent down and picked it up, on it was something scribbled with your typical boys handwriting.
Sorry I didn’t say bye, you were sleeping.
Here is my number, call me if you like. (823) 567-291
Kurt
Chloe smiled at the small note, before tugging it in her shoe. She said goodbye to the bus driver and got out. The bus drove of almost immediately but Chloe didn’t care.
She looked around; she arrived in the center of Mystic Falls.
She was hungry, the last time she ate something was before the party. Her breakfast was half a bottle of Jack Daniels. She grabbed the little bit of money she had left out of her shoe, twenty dollars. Twenty dollars to buy breakfast and rent a place to live, maybe some new clothes? That’s not gonna work. She does have a bankcard, but there’s nothing on it. She will have to fix that today.
She put ‘getting money’ on her to-do list, before walking in to the supermarket. She walked around for a bit. Still wearing only her black All Stars and Jane’s blue dress. Luckily it isn’t a very revealing dress, it has one of the shoulder strap though.
Chloe suddenly remembered her shoulder and how it didn’t hurt anymore. She looked at her right shoulder and noticed the bite wound was completely gone. She stood staring at her shoulder in the middle of the supermarket, with wide eyes and mouth slightly open for about five minutes, before she snapped out of it.
Food, that’s why she came here. She’ll worry about magical shoulders ones she ate something. She walked to the fruits and decided some vitamins will do her good. She put three apples in a plastic bag before walking to the drink section.
She grabbed a bottle of water -she can always refill it- and walked towards the checkout. She had to wait in line for a couple of minutes, before she smiled at the cashier and paid for her food and water.
She walked out of the supermarket and sat down on a bench. She got one of the three apples out of the bag and took a bite. The sweet/sour taste of the apple was so refreshing and good, she hadn’t realized she was so hungry.
Her eyes widened when she remembered her magical shoulder. She quickly turned her head to see if the wound was gone or if she just didn’t see it in the store, it was gone. Her mouth hung open and confusion took over her features.
Chloe took a deep breath, calming her raising heartbeat. There has to be a logical explanation. The problem is, she can’t go to a doctor to ask about it. They would want to see the bite and that is the problem, it’s gone.
Chloe sighed and took a sip of water. First things first, a roof over her head. She stood up, put the left over money in her shoe again, apple in one hand and plastic bag with the other apples and water in the other. She started walking around the shopping area.
The weird thing is, her hearing seemed to get better. She could hear conversations from very far away. She could also smell way better. She could smell the perfume of every girl that walked past her and she could smell what the boy to her right had for breakfast. She could also sense everyone’s feelings. Overall, it freaked her out.
