Nezuko was lying in her bed with her eyes wide open.
The sound of birds chirping and distant talking was covered by her thoughts of what she did last night
Nezuko's POV
'Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I kissed him on the cheek! What if he was awake? What if he doesn't like me anymore? I'm so dead. Well, there's no avoiding it. May as well just face the problem and accept whatever consequences you get'
I got out of bed and combed my hair since it was so frizzy bees could live in there.
I went to the living room and saw Muichiro talking to his brother
'Oh no' I thought
"Morning!" I said with a fake smile
Muichiro and Yuichiro stopped talking and went silent for a few moments before replying
"Ah, morning Nezuko" Yuichiro said
"Morning," said Muichiro in a rather awkward tone
I sat down and Muichiro's mom set the table
As I ate, the only thing I could think about was what Muichiro and Yuichiro were saying
Earlier
Muichiro POV
'Why did she do that? Was it because she kicked me? Did it mean anything?'
I walked into the living room and saw Yuichiro scrolling through Instagram
He looked up and immediately put down his phone
"You look confused, what's wrong?" He asked
He could always notice when I was conflicted about something no matter how well I hide it
'Should I tell him?'
"Well something happened last night and I don't know how I should handle it," I said
"Well, what happened?" Yuichiro asked
"Well I went to get a glass of water in the middle of the night and Nezuko thought I was a hallucination so she drop-kicked me"
"Is that it?" Yuichiro asked
"What, no"
"Anyway she went to get an ice pack and I was lying on my bed with my eyes closed. I guess she thought I fell asleep because she put the ice pack on my head and then..."
"And then what? What did she do? Muichiro spill it!" Yuichiro yelled
"She missed my cheek"
Yuichiro stared at me with a blank face
"Are you kidding me?! I was expecting something more than that! What do you mean kissed you on the cheek?! You guys used to do that all the time! You got my hopes up for nothing!"
I sat there and my face was blank with both embarrassment and shock.
"What should I do though?" I asked
"Just be a man and ask her! You're 18 already, you should be able to deal with problems like this" Yuichiro said
Just as I was about to ask him something else Nezuko walked in
"Morning!" She said with her fake cheery smile
Yuichiro said morning as well and I gathered up the courage to greet her as well
"Morning," I said with a blank face

Nezuko went to take a shower while I sat in my room thinking of how I should ask her
Third Person POV
Muichiro walked up to Nezuko
"Ah Mui-Kun, what wrong?" Nezuko asked
"Well I want to ask you about something that happened last night," Muichiro said
'Oh no, he was awake! What am I gonna do how am suppose to explain this to him' Nezuko thought
"What did you want to ask me?" Nezuko asked, trying her best to sound calm
"You remember last night when you kicked me and you went to get an ice pack for my head? Well, when you came back I pretended to be asleep, and then the next thing I knew you kissed me on the cheek." Muichiro said
