"MOM! WHY ARE WE GOING TO-"
"-The most common place ever? A Walmart? Seriously?" I complained to my mom as we hopped into the car and started driving to our local Florida walmart.
She adjusted the car mirror and said, "We're going shopping for friends."
I coughed and said, "It doesn't work like that, and that makes you sound stereotypical."
Mom just shrugged and continued driving, "I was just kidding, Mija. We were going to Walmart for some extra groceries— But y'know, you could use a couple more friends."
I scoffed and grumpily stared out of the car window and said, "I mean, can't help I'm an introvert."
My mom rolled her eyes but smiled, and stared back at the road. "Speaking of friends, what happened to Lisa?"
I groaned. "Don't even talk about her. That girl gave me too many migraines to count, I swear."
I imagined my mother putting her hands up in a surrender, but she really couldn't do that because she was driving, and that'd be a good enough reason to give her a ticket.
My mom knew Lisa was a sensitive subject, but only because she got me in this bad situation with my past, 1 month boyfriend. It wasn't long term, but it was cool to have someone to lean on when you die in 5 nights at Freddie's.
Jake from statefarm- Or rather just Jake not from statefarm, aka my ex-boyfriend. The first week we started dating, like damn he was so smooth. But then he got progressively worse, worse, and worse. He even slapped me once, and I decided to get out of that relationship before I started becoming some MFing oblivious girl in a red-flagged relationship. That would suck.
