The next few days didn't consist of much; they mainly went to school, revision, homework, spare time and sleep. Some days also contained work. Today didn't appear to be any different. I woke up half seven, ate breakfast and at 9 AM my first lesson of the day started.
The day passed quickly; from morning, to afternoon and then towards evening. It was just like every other day; as if I was running on auto pilot. Richard and Daniel had come over though, and we were currently lying on the beds, watching something on the television; just relaxing really.
"You got a message Payson." Daniel informed me. I diverted my gaze from the television and directed it towards him, looking at him tiredly.
"It's probably just dad." I replied and gave him a small wave of my hand; the small gesture supposed to tell him I didn't need the phone. It was most likely nothing important anyway; they usually called if it was.
"No, it's from an unknown number."
I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at him; trying to figure out why an unknown number would send me a text. The first possibility that crossed my mind was that the transmitter had got the wrong number, and that seemed like the obvious one until something dawned on me.
I didn't have Niall's number, so the chance of the transmitter being him was there. He might actually have decided to contact me. With that thought in mind I extended my hand towards Daniel, thinking he would give it to me, but he didn't.
Instead it looked like he unlocked my phone and I got my confirmation on that when he spoke again. "The person just wrote hey, so I'll answer for you." For a couple of seconds I kind of hoped it wasn't Niall, because I was almost sure I had already weirded him out. Or at least something had caused him to leave the first time. I wasn't too fond of the idea of that happening again, one way or another.
"Please, don't write anything weird." I begged him and watched a smile grow on his face as his fingers continuously tapped the screen. I wasn't scared Daniel would write anything too inappropriate, because he wasn't the kind of guy to do something like that. I just didn't like the fact that he sent a message, with a content unknown to me, to someone else in my name.
"It's probably just someone who has got the wrong number." Richard said from where he was lying next to Kira on her bed; just like Daniel was laid next to me on mine. I didn't bother to try and get my phone back though, because I knew Daniel was much stronger than me and would win if I even attempted it.
"That will either be confirmed or disconfirmed soon." I looked at my phone, just in time to see Daniel press the send button before he returned the phone to me. I glanced up at him, noticing that he looked pleased with himself, so whatever it was he must have thought it was really clever. In order to find out, I looked down at my phone again and read the message he had just sent.
To: unknown
Tell me your name young noble stranger
and tell me just what we're doing here
I let out a laugh as I read it, instantly noticing the song reference. I didn't even get the chance to comment it before my phone buzzed and a new message popped up under the one Daniel had sent.
From: unknown
It's Niall
It was hard to tell what his thoughts about Daniel's message was, or what he must have thought was mine, based on his reply. So after having saved his number to my phone I decided to tell him it hadn't been from me, just in case. I was too set on the idea of getting to know him better that I didn't dare to risk it.
