The Bond

It's peaceful

Todoroki's pov:

When I woke up the next morning I looked at Bakugou and almost laughed. Bakugou was partially on top of me with his left leg falling off the bed, his face partially buried in my chest? his hair was a mess. Heh bedhead. His right leg was tangled with my legs and I could see a hint of drool on his face.

I slowly grab my phone and took a photo for later then I put my phone back down, I think I moved to much because Bakugou started waking up. I watched him lift his head up and rub his sleepy eyes, i didn't think Bakugou could look so soft until now. Bakugou can throw a hissy fit about different things but I think he's trying to push people away so they won't get close to anything he's hiding. Or he could just be soft when he was hit by that cat quirk. He was so clingy to me too. Could it just be the instinct of the animal or was it something Bakugou wanted to do, but out of everyone he decides to cling on to me, I thought he would want to stay close to Kirishima or Midoriya.

Flashback

 A week after the kidnapping Bakugou spent a few days recovering or something because he wasn't in school. When he came into the classroom you could tell the ora he was giving of was different from before. I was just walking into the classroom and he was just stepping inside but I noticed him hesitate not mention when I got really close to him I felt something wrong. I tried to get him to look at me but he was busy receiving a hug from Midoriya. "Kacchan! Your okay!!" but all I heard was  Bakugou mumble. "I'm sorry..." that also got Midoriya's attention as Bakugou pushed him off. " Keep your filthy hands to yourself!" Bakugou said. I was about :to snap at him but he just went to his desk as the Bakusquad swarmed him. 

But for some reason they all quietly went back to their seats as Bakugou put ear buds in. I don't understand what was wrong with him and his friends but they looked down after they left him. Kirishima was hurt the most.

I went to Bakugou's desk and he was looking through some text messages, I didn't mean to snoop but I read some of the messages from his mom like

Bakugou's Mom:  Hey Katsuki can you come out? (On Saturday at 10:30am)

Bakugou's Mom: Please? Your starting to make me worry more! (On Saturday at 1:00pm)

Bakugou's Mom: Want to call Kirishima and have him come over for you? (Sunday at 12:00 am)

Bakugou: No.

Bakugou's Mom: your father isn't home right now so you can. 

Bakugou: NO! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

Bakugou's Mom: O-okay Bakugou, Just come out to eat. K?

-Seen but no reply-

I stopped reading and put my hand on his shoulder to get his attention but when I did he froze for second before smacking my hand off him. "Not cool Bakugou!" I hear Kirishima say. "Shut it Shitty hair." I look at Kirishima giving him a look to ignore it and he went back to looking at Midoriya and Uraraka. When I looked back at Bakugou he was putting his phone away. Did he want me to see those messages? Was he trying to get my attention? Or does he just want me or someone's help? Maybe there's more about the text messages but I'm missing it. He didn't want Kirishima to come over, did they secretly have a fight? He wasn't spending time with his mom so maybe that's something to start with. Or the last message about him coming out to eat, he was in a room locked off from his family for a while.

My thoughts were cut off when Bakugou glared at me. "Go sit down Icy-Hot" I'm a bit worried cause when he said that it didn't have his normal fire. I walk to my desk thinking more but it was interrupted when I tripped om Yayarozu's bag about to hit the wall but Uraraka caught me with her quirk and some people laughed but I didn't care. I thanked her after I was back on my feet while glancing at Bakugou who was playing with his pencil. "There's definitely something wrong." I accidentally said out loud and Uraraka tilted her head in confusion before glancing at Bakugou. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Did he hit you harder than it looked?" Why is she so caring? "No, just lost in thought?" I said and I gained a smirk from her and Yayarozu. Uh oh, I hate does looks. What are they planning?" At lunch we're gonna talk~" Momo said. "about what???" I'm starting to worry and my confusion grew. "You'll see at lunch!" Uraraka said before taking her leave as Mr. Aizawa walked in with his hair in a Ponytail which I thought always signaled we're going to train.

I took my seat and Mr. Aizawa took attendance before he spoke. "Before we start I want to say welcome back Bakugou." Everyone's eyes shift to Bakugou. "Don't be surprised, Tch." I would've said classic but it wasn't the same. "Whatever problem child." Mr. Aizawa says regaining our attention but I kept glancing back at Bakugou. "Today we are going outside to practice, you'll be fighting in pairs and I already picked who you will be partnered up with. For now go change into your track uniform and come meet me back here." Mr. Aizawa says and everyone split up in groups or pairs before leaving to change. Well.... all accept me, Bakugou, and Kirishima. Bakugou looks at me and Kirishima before standing up. "What are you extras waiting for?" He spat at us before taking his own leave. I was about to follow but Kirishima pulled me back. "Todobro? I notice you checking on Bakugou. What's your reason?" He asked. "I don't really have a main reason right now." I replied. "You noticed it too!" He said while looking really serious. "Noticed what again?" "Bakugou. He's different, the way he speaks." I nod at his response. "I'm really really worried about Bakubro." Kirishima adds. "Go talk later, go change into your uniform!" Mr. Aizawa snapped at us while pointing to the door. I sigh and head off to the locker room to change.

End of Flashback

The flashback ended when I heard Bakugou sneeze and rub his eye more. "w-what are you doing Icy-Hot?" He asked me and I just ask "Bakugou, after the villains took you, what happened when you were home recovering from the attack?" I asked him without thinking and I watched Bakugou's eyes shift away as he got off of me before leaving the room.
