Olivia sat still in front of her laptop, watching a video of a man, shivering and holding a flickering flashlight, walking in a dark forest. The video turned to a point of view angle of the terrified man. His voice creaked as he took a few small baby steps further.
“I can… Hear them…” he stuttered. “They’re coming… To get me…”
Olivia paused the video. It seemed like she couldn’t bear to watch the chilling video. She didn’t have the heart to watch the video of her father’s disappearance.
Olivia had spent three months searching for her father who mysteriously went missing after a trip to find subject for his next bestseller. On her right, there was a pile of her father’s books about the supernatural, also a couple of newspaper clippings with the big headline read, “FAMED HORROR AND MYSTERY NOVELIST WENT MISSING”. To her left were two videotapes, labelled “WEEPING ANGELS – NIGHT #1” and “WEEPING ANGELS – NIGHT #2”.
