Chapter 18

Shawn POV

As we got to the city border of the Dolphins City, the officers at the checkpoint said:

,,Mister Mendes. And...who are the other people in the car? They aren't leaders because we know all the leaders."

,,They are part of my job. Miranda allowed the entrance." I lied.

,,In this case... You can go." The officer said.

I drove on and then Camila asked:

,,Aren't they gonna find out you lied?We are gonna get in trouble, aren't we?"

,,Okay, first of all, I found out a few more stuff today.... Miranda is apparently having plans without including the other ultra leaders. I also just found out that the other ultra leaders have no idea about the killers. So, that also means it was just Miranda's decision to sacrifice all that people..." I explained.

,,Wait! What sacrificed people?" Aaliyah asked confused from the back of the car.

,,Oh right...you don't know that story.... Well, you know when I send you and Mila to our parents and the soldiers 'broke in’ to bring you to the training?" I asked Aaliyah.

,,Yeah.."

,,Well, then you know you had to fight in that day and ‘the snake’ was there to tell you if you had potential or not. Well the people that 'didn’t havr potential' were chosen to be given to the killers so the others can survive."

,,WHAT!?" Aaliyah, Stephanie and Jamie said at the same time.

,,You heard right, but the problem is that Miranda told me that the ultra leaders chose to sacrifice 10 people from every group, but apparently the other leaders don't even know about the killers’ problem. That's why I need to talk with the other ultra leaders. Now that you all know all this stuff you have to keep it for yourselves." I said and then Camila asked:

,,But..who told you that Miranda lied and everything?"

,,Josh. He's my best friend and works at the security department. He heard Miranda and Spencer talking about all this stuff." I said.

,,But....what if he lied?" Aaliyah asked.

,,We are gonna find out if he lied when we talk to the ultra leaders..."

We got quite fast at the Dolphin's hostel, I parked the car and said:

,,Okay...Aaliyah, Stephanie and Jamie you stay in the car and Camila and I are going inside to see if Christine lives here." I said and everyone agreed.

Camila and I got out of the car, I took her hand and we went inside.

We went to the reception and I said to the receptionist:

,,Hello! Could I ask you a question?"

,,Hello Mister! How can I help you?" The receptionist said.

,,We would like to know in which apartment Christine Cabale is living." Camila said before I could say anything.

,,I'm sorry  I can't give such informations to you." He answered and I got closer so I could intimidate him. And it worked. He started to shake. Well done, Shawn!

,,Don't you know who I am? If I say I need to know where this girl is living, then you TELL me! You don't argue. You understand?" I said standing straight in front of him and he got SCARED.

,,Yes, Mister Mendes. Her apartment is on the second floor, number 20."

,,Thank you." I said and I suddenly smiled to him. I got Camila's hand and we went to Christine's apartment.
