*Diana's P.O.V*

"Then it's settled."

Ms. Gem signed the adoption papers and smiled.

I smiled at my best friend who is now my sister. I should introduce myself.

Hi, my name is Diana. That's my new name. I have dark brown hair and light blue eyes. My parents left me in the Orphanage. It must have been when I was little because I don't remember a thing.

Yeah, I know. Great parents.

I'm 14 years old. The Gem family recently adopted my best friend and I. My best friend's name is Angeline. She pretty much likes everything I do.

"Finally!" I exclaimed as we sat in Ms. Gems...ahem..I mean mom's car. Driving to our new home,

"I know right!" Angeline said. She had a big smile on her face as the nice looking Orphanage faded from sight.

To be honest it was pure torture.

It wasn't like in the movies or books where the people there gave you pity.

Nope, nada, zero.

They shouted at you even if you made a tiny mistake. They made us do chores. Made us cook the food and clean the dishes, even clean the toilets. Disgusting, I know.

So we were actually thankful to leave that place.

"So umm....mom. Where do we live?"

Mom looked at the review mirror and smiled. She has blonde hair and light green eyes. Her husband died a few years ago. Still, she is really nice.

"Well I'm sure you guys will love it." she said.

The ride took only 5 minutes.

Mom parked the car and got out. "Here we are!"

"You have got to be kidding me." I said as I stepped out, not believing what I was seeing.

The house was humongous! It had a porch and a front yard. Near it was the woods.

It seriously looks like the house from The Spiderwick Chronicles.

"How many rooms does It have?" Angeline asked.

"4," Mom said. "And 2 guest rooms."

I looked toward the woods curiously. For a girl who hasn't been outside a lot you pretty much want to explore.

Plus freedom.

"Can we go to the woods?" I asked.

"Sure." Mom said. "After we get everything settled." she grabbed our bags and started walking toward the house. "Let me show you your rooms."

"Ill help you." Angeline said. She reached for the bags.

"Oh no no." Mom said. She quickly got in before we could complain.

I shrugged at Angeline and brushed my hair off the side of my face. I walked in the house.

Mom was freaking rich!

The stairs spiraled upward and the living room had a 6 inch flat screen TV. The kitchen was twice the size of the living room.

Angeline and I exchanged looks. This was epic.
