Chapter 3

Diana's Pov

"Are you sure you're strong enough to stand?" Philip asked. His eyes shown concern.

"Yeah, a girl isn't THAT weak." I stood up and brushed the hair out of my face. Suddenly, my legs started shaking and I started falling down.

Philip immediately grabbed my arms and helped me stand up. He raised an eyebrow and smirked at me. "Sure."

I huffed and crossed my arms. "Well what did you expect? I got kicked by a freaking Minotaur!" I started walking ahead. Even though I was a demigod, there is nothing godly about me.

"There will be a lot of that in the future." Philip muttered but I pretended I didn't here him and kept walking.

"Wait!" he ran up to me. "I need to go with you."

"Yay!" I shouted. Note the sarcasm. A few campers looked our way.

Philip rolled his eyes and walked toward a small looking cabin. I quickly followed him, not wanting to get lost. I mean, this place is huge. I bet it could fit hundreds of Godzilla's! Okay maybe not THAT much but still. Even though Philip said that my sister and I would be safe here I am still cautious of everyone.

Especially the ones with hostile expressions on your face observing your every move. These people seriously looked like they go the gym 24/7.

Yet, everyone and everything looked fine. There were a few wary expressions, some people even looked scared. I wonder why.

"Why do some people look scared?" I asked Philip.

He tensed and a look of fear came across his face. Was it that bad? He looked away. "Let's just say," he started. "Something bad is going to happen."

"Like what?"

He hesitated. "Ever heard of curiosity killed the cat?"

I rolled my eyes. "Come on, please?" I pleaded. He shook his head.

When we reached the cabin, Philip pushed the door open and stepped in. "Now this is the armory. These are where the weapons are."

Wow.

Inside there were billions of weapons. Swords and daggers of all types of sizes. There was a spoon there. I guess spoons can be dangerous too. I shivered. Me getting killed by a spoon isn't really a great thought.

While I was daydreaming, Philip grabbed a dagger. He studied it looking thoughtful and handed it too me. "Here." He said. "Try this. You will need to defend yourself." I grasped the handle and turned it over. A few words were etched on the hilt. Probably in Greek. Even though it looked good, it didn't feel right.

"It doesn't feel right." I said and handed it to him. He nodded understandingly and went to search at another section. He came back with two rings that kept changing color. Black, blue and bright yellow.

"Try this." he said and handed it to me. "These are one of the most powerful weapons, made by a god actually. It was hidden somewhere in Greece but we found it and placed it here. It was supposedly made for a child of three." Philip looked at me. "And I have a feeling that you're powerful."
