I dove right into it, head first. I felt the waves crash around me. I watched my chest inhale and exhale, and immediately tears fell from my eyes. I was captive in my own mind. I was manifesting my own destiny and it was not what I wanted, but what I had feared. When dealing with depression, you are inflicting not only what you have but what you will have by continuously projecting negativity into your future. Watch what you think about, and keep a tally of how many times the what ifs take over. I can guarantee you had at least thought into existence one negative thing in your life.
If not, congratulations, you're lying. You are swimming in your imagination, and reality is your flotation device. Under water is the negativity, above water is positivity. You are slowly deflating your device the more you feed into fear. I challenge you to tell yourself you're beautiful in the mirror once a day and gradually you will start to see yourself that way.
Life is one giant game of manipulation, you can manipulate all the resources around you if you practice it enough. A lot of society assumes manipulation is a toxic behavior, and to an extent it is, it can be. When using manipulation to get what you want in disregard to others is toxic. We all know that one manipulative human in our lives. When using manipulation to benefit yourself, and others, it is classified as power.
I manipulated myself into feeling confident. I worked day in and day out telling myself that no matter what other's opinions are on me is truly just a reflection of themselves, how they feel. This helped me move forward into being vulnerable again. The time is right. The time is now. Train to love yourself.
