Chapter 5

Sasuke's P.O.V

You have to be kidding me. Sakura is currently scolding Naruto because he "kissed" me, which he didn't because she was the one who pushed him. I sighed leaning back into my kitchen chair as she wouldn't stop babbling and throwing her arms around. Naruto tried to defend himself as much as possible, but considering the situation he wouldn't get very far with those poor excuses. If we can call them that. It sounds more like 'please don't kill me'. His breathing was luckily somewhat normal now and we don't have to worry about him breaking down. Sakura suddenly stopped yelling and sucked in a big breath before she turned to me with a frown covering her face as her arms was crossed while Naruto was begging her to keep quite or something. God knows what he is going to say now. My eyes closed themselves halfway as If to show I was bored. My hand was already placed at my chin so I could rest my head on it. Naruto was standing behind her obviously not having the slightest clue of what to do. So now I have to come up with some excuse to save him. Or us as he would say, but I don't feel like I need to be saved from this one.

"Why is Naruto here anyway? "

"He forced himself in."

She crooked an eyebrow turning to Naruto who were scratching the back of his head smiling nervously. Sakura is going to give him a real beating after this I suppose. My lips inched themselves upwards thinking about it. Did he really think he could keep it a secret from Sakura? He's more of an idiot than I thought. Or he meets my expectations really well actually.

"And you haven't thrown him out?"

This time it was my turn to raise an eyebrow as she studied me slowly waiting for my reaction. I sighed standing up leaning against the kitchen bench.

"No I haven't. Isn't that obvious?'"

Her attitude dropped as she glanced over at Naruto who seemed relieved about not getting anymore questions or lectures from her as she walked closer to me, Naruto inching closer as well not wanting to be left out.

"What is up with you two today? Naruto is pretty much the same but you Sasuke....something feels different."

"People change. And I don't know what you mean to be honest."

"Naruto are you sick or something?"

My chest tightened as she turned around placing her hand on his forehead. Naruto seemed taken back by the gesture as he looked nervously at her waving his hands signalling he was fine, but of course she didn't buy it. Who would. It's so obvious...but we could still trick her. I don't want to see her more then necessary.

Yes he is."

"What the fuck teme! I'm not!"

As expected. That should convince him he is somewhat normal.Of course the airhead didn't understand the point, but that was fine. It made it more believable that way. Green eyes shifted to me from Naruto, then back to him again as she let go of him brushing of the imaginary dust off of her shoulders. Her fingers intertwined and she crossed her legs like a typical schoolgirl would do when she was about to tell something to her long beloved crush or some shit like that. What she actually said was more shocking than most things I've heard...

"I don't know ow to say this...but are you two like...um...."

Before she finished she began laughing very loud scratching the back of her head as Naruto stood there dumbfolded like always. My eyes suddenly found her very interesting as I waited for her to continue whatever she was starting.

"Not that I think you are! I-I mean you were always like this..I guess...but..um...I just want to know if it's true because I think I deserve to know and I....I promise I won't judge you!"

"And what exactly made you jump to that conclusion?"

My words made her uncertain as if she regretted saying something at all, but she would explain either way. If I have to force her so be it...not that I really need to though. She's like an obedient little puppy.

"It's not like I jumped to any conclusions...I mean...Naruto wasn't home yesterday...or the day before when I went there to give him some food pills. So I asked Tsunade if she knew were he was and she said he'd be staying at your place. She also said I shouldn't stick my nose into your business, whatever that is, I didn't really catch what she meant, but anyway...I also saw you two at the ramen stand yesterday and yeah I guess....that's all...plus just now you two were...you know.."

My eyes widened a bit, but I caught myself and regained my normal expression. Maybe a bit more stern than normal but it works. Her cheeks was a bit red as she looked to the side clearly not comfortable asking us about this. Naruto on the other hand didn't understand a thing except she was wondering why we were kissing, which was her fault by the way.

"We were kissing because you pushed us. And no there is nothing going on between me and the idiot so you don't have to worry about it."

At that Naruto's face lit up as he understood what she had meant, luckily he didn't say anything or try to defend himself whatsoever. Sakura looked me in the eyes relieved over the fact I suppose. Weird how she would actually think that. I thought she wasn't concerned about him stealing me away from her at all. That thought had apperently crossed her mind though. Can two days and some ramen make that impression? Are people here that dense. Like it's love if I asked Sakura to ramen. If I did so it would be for a important reason. Not because I wanted to be her boyfriend,

"Why is he staying then?"

"Didn't Tsunade tel you not to stick your nose into our bussiness?"

"Well what is it? It can't be that secret."

"We are going on a secret mission, so he has to stay here so we can prepare some stuff before we go. Now leave."

Her green eyes lowered as she muttered and 'oh' and looked over at Naruto who was surprisingly calm again and nodded smiling at her. He can act whe he needs to I'll give him that. Not that it makes our situation any easier. Why do I have to get dragged into all of this? Like I haven't been in enough already. That's life I guess.

"Well I'm sorry. It was nice seeing you though.."

She said hugging Naruto then walked towards the door with little steps. After she turned her head and waved for the last time the door closed and Naruto breathed out relieved. My yes didn't leave the door to make sure she was leaving and not staying eavesdropping on us. If it meant finding out what was really wrong she would probably do that., and Naruto is oblivious to it as always. When is he going to realize she isn't an innocent little girl? I turned around beginning to walk towards Naruto as he looked up raising an eyebrow at me with his mask in one hand. He probably went to get it from wherever it was while I was making sure Sakura was gone. Which she was, which was a good thing. Enough about her already. My gaze met Naruto's as he seemed a bit sad about what we had just told her.

"How long are you going to lie to her about it?"

I asked bluntly as he ran his fingers over the mask. He shook his head once gripping it tighter before placing it down on the table next to him as he looked up at me trying to smile...quite pitiful.

"As long as I can..."

"You are going to regret not telling her. She could help you."

His expression hardened as he pushed his hair out of his face looking at the ceiling.

"Perhaps...but I don't want her to feel the guilt of not being able to."

So yeah I finally updated this, and it feels good to be honest. ^^ I hope you enjoy my story so far and I can't wait to write more of it now that I know how it's going to play out, more or less.
