39 : Mom's anxiety

The period of time when Mina had to drop out of Twicelights due to anxiety

Y/N : 10 y/o

'Eomma?' Y/N walked in Mina's shared room, with three other members who were on tour, just to find her crying.

'Hm? Do you need anything Y/N?' Mina asked, quickly wiping her tears away, pretending nothing happened.

'Eomma what happened?' Y/N asked, entering and sitting on her mom's lap.

'Nothing. I just had a few sneezes.'

'No Eomma...I was standing outside for more than 10 minutes already.' Y/N admitted, as Mina almost panicked because of 'lack of answers'.

  'I'm okay...what did you come for?' Mina asked, hugging her daughter tight from behind.

  'Nothing. I was going to the toilet when I heard you sniffle so I peeked through the small gap at the door, and saw you crying.' Y/N explained. 'Eomma please tell me...what happened?'

  'Aigoo Y/N...I'm sorry you have to see me in this condition. I'm okay now. I'll tell you if I have any problems okay?'

- time skip : before going to bed -
  'Eomma Bunny!!!' Y/N exclaimed, seeing her mom on the screen.

  'Hi Y/N!!! How has my favourite daughter been?' Nayeon asked, a smile plastered on her face. 'It's only 6 am here in California but I have to go to rehearsal soon.'

  'I've been fine, but Mina Eomma...'

  'What happened with her?'

  'She's been really sad lately but she wouldn't tell me why.' Y/N muttered, a frown taking over the smile on her face.

  'I'll tell you why but don't tell Eomma ok? Just go spend time with her more, so that she won't feel lonely or insecure.' Nayeon started. 'So Eomma has something called anxiety, and it's kind of a...psychological thing...I don't know how to put this in simple words but anyways, your Eomma has to sit out of the concerts, that's why she's at home with you now. Her anxiety probably comes from stress...so yes, your Eomma is really stressed right now, that's why you find her so depressed in her room a lot. Just go spend time with her more so she could forget about the bad things.'

  Y/N was staring at the camera, only just realising that something was wrong inside her mom.

  'N-nae...I'll promise to take care of Eomma!' Y/N shouted through the phone, while Nayeon raised up a finger in front of her lips, signalling for her to quiet down.

  'That's my good girl. I'll go prepare now. I'm going to call you when you wake up okay?' Nayeon asked, while Jeongyeon waved from behind.

  'EOMMA JEONG! TALK TO ME, PLEASE!' Y/N shouted, as Nayeon flinched and handed the phone to Jeongyeon.

  'Bye Y/N cya!' Nayeon waved, heading to the room next door to change into her outfit.

  'Hi Y/N!! What did your mom talk to you about just now?' Jeongyeon asked, putting the phone on the table so that she could eat while FaceTiming her.

  'She said that I should be with Mina Eomma more, because she's stressed, and that I should not let her feel lonely.' Y/N listed out, while Jeongyeon softened from hearing her daughter say those words.

  'That's my girl right Y/N?' Jeongyeon chuckled. 'Anyways I have to go now, we'll call you all together when you wake up, with Mina Eomma, ok?'

  Y/N nodded, about to hang up and go to bed.

  'WAIT EOMMA!' Y/N shouted.

  'Yes? I'm still here.'

  'Please say hi to the other Eommas for me.'
Y/N requested, to which Jeongyeon nodded.
'Goodnight!'

  'Y/N? Why are you not asleep yet?' Mina asked, entering the room as she noticed her lights weren't off yet.

  'Oh! I just called Eommas!' Y/N exclaimed happily, seeing her mom entering.

  'Go to bed okay? It's already 11.' Mina softly said, turning the lights in her room off.

  'No Eomma, can I sleep with you tonight?'
Y/N asked, using her puppy eyes on her.

  'Why? Are you scared?'

  'No, but I want to.'

  'Fine. Come on.' Mina held out her hand for her daughter, and led her to her own room.

  'You can sleep on any bed you want.' Mina informed her, as she settled in her own.

  Y/N followed her mom into the bed, causing Mina to turn and look at her.

  'What are you doing here hm?'

  'You said I can sleep on any bed I want. I want this.'

  'Aigoo...or did you just want to sleep with me?' Mina questioned, causing Y/N to giggle.

  'Yes. I don't want Eomma to be lonely.'

  'You're such a good girl...Eomma loves you ok?'

  'I love you too Eomma!'

- the next day -

  Y/N did as she was told, keeping her mom company wherever she want.

  Well, safe to say, she succeeded in making her feel content. The two were doing lots of activities together over the day, from baking to watching a movie on the sofa, and Mina loved it.

  'Y/N/N I have something to tell you.' Mina called her, as she stood at the doorframe of her daughter's room.

  'Yes Eomma?'

  'Y/N, thank you for today. You probably didn't do it on purpose, but you made me happier, and I loved everything we did today. You're such a good daughter Y/N.' Mina said, about to burst into tears when her daughter hugged her.

  'You're welcome Eomma.' Y/N said. 'Actually...Eomma Bunny told me to do this, she said you're going through umm...an-anxiety...and she said I should keep you company and not let you feel lonely, so I did as she said! But still, I want to do this with you every day.'

  'Aigoo you're so sweet.' Mina pinched her daughter's cheek. 'Now go shower first, I'll make us dinner ok?'

  'No! I want to stay with you Eomma!'

  'Yaaa go shower, I'm serious. I'm ok, it's just a few minutes!'

  Y/N nodded, and skipped to the bathroom while giggling.

  'You forgetful kid...you even left you towel in your room.' Mina sighed playfully, handing the towel to her daughter, who was about to shower.
