***Gaia***
"We must stop the madness from spreading Gaia." Sol whispered, his desperation evident.
"Even now, behind closed doors, Ankou delves deeper into the darkness. His power is growing. I fear we alone cannot stop him." He continued.
"What can we do Sol?" I asked. "We cannot strike him down unprovoked." I continue.
Sol considered my words.
Suddenly, his face lifted up and hope twinkled in his eyes. "No, it is not our place. But we CAN bring forth a balancer. A light to stand against his dark." He gently grabbed my shoulders.
"How?" I question. "A child. But not just any child. One born from your lava and your swiftest beasts. One of a fire hotter than the sun. A culmination of utter brilliance!" My eyes widened. "So you mean to bring forth....."
"YES!" He cut me off, "We have no other choice." His voice trails as his forehead rests against mine.
"You remember what happened the last time Sol." I whisper, pain lacing my voice. "We have to try Gaia. We have to try......"
"And if I lose another? I can't bare to go through that again." He breathed deeply. "So you shall not. We will embue her with everlasting life, never-ending lifetimes. At the end of one, she will always be reborn." He urged. Hope bloomed in my chest. "Then let us try, let us bring forth....."
